quite pricey tbh, unless your buying new. i got my alpine headunit (cda one), with ipod control for around £50 off ebay. it sounds great and has quite a few features. cant really fault it. going by what i have found, the CDA headunits alpine do seem to be better.

LL ;)

TJG be careful! I bought the IDA x-300 thinking the Bluetooth would work automatically, i then had to buy the Bluetooth Unit as well for 170 quid

The other thing LL is this is Alpine's new 2009 range, which has sorted out the issue with the new iPod nano and the use of the iPhone on there too. It's not too bad if it's got Bluetooth as well, as mine bought new was £130, which I think is a very reasonable price, considering mine is capable of Bluetooth with a £100 adaptor. That one posted by T_J_G isn't bad at all.

I've looked into it and it does seem the best option. The newer range IDA X you need £250 to buy the one with bluetooth. I need one that support Ipod Touch aswell.

The old 2008 models support the iPod touch even if they don't say so, I know as I've got one of those too, even the 2006 models support it (my friend has one :)) but those IDA X ranges are a bit hideous to me, those are the ones only for iPod right? No CD drive or anything? If that's the case the one you're looking at is much better :)

ipod touch uses the exact same connection as any other ipod and should work on any ipod  connection headset
