Golf mk8 / More decisions

Didn’t want to jump on the other post re decisions. I’m looking at replacing my car in May. It’s 5 years old then and although it’s got low mileage and is in good condition I feel even with the All In Plan which comes to the end also in May it’s time to say goodbye.
I am mulling over
MK 8.5 GTI which could be the car I was hoping for back in 2021 and didn’t get!
What are peoples thoughts on the ID3 GTX performance? Electric cars in general?
Luxury car tax, didn’t apply in 2021 and is a factor to consider in especially with more changes in April to VED.
Other alternatives I.e. non performance cars, what have people gone for if not VW.

I assume your £7250 includes the first year hammer blow for luxury VED?

I got as far as buying the silica gel, but didn't put them in as I was worried they would disappear inside, I never though of putting them inside the cover!!!

I am not happy with the salesman anyway as the one we dealt with originally has retired and have dealt with him for over 35 years
But apparently he is the new specialist on the edition 50 but has no clue about the car just a Vw salesman
The other one was even invited to the launch
How can they know more than any enthusiast lol

Said I don’t want the tyres anyway
Can not order the performance pack with out them
Answer you want to loose a sale in excess of 55k over a set of tyres. Fine by me
Will be on the telephone to Vw uk in the morning
That puts the performance pack at £4500
I've checked the configurator and £3675 includes the tyres. I think the confusion lies as you can order the tyres seperately for which the cost is £880.
