But the only experience I’ve had of a similar situation is in one of my old Mk6 GTIs, obviously there was not the same warning bongs, but in my case it was the fuel filter (near the tank), which incidentally only appeared to happen at home on my driveway, and only after it had been driven and then tried to start while it was still warm, it would start just fine if I didn’t start it back up straight away, or if it was a cold start in the morning or after work, changed the filter and all was good. I started a thread about it on one of the mk6 forums, but can’t find it right now so I’m struggling to remember the details as it was a while back.
