Hi - Ive decided to take the plunge and order the Bluefin remap for the GTi at the new 20% off rate for December as a little xmas present to myself! - had settled on a Revo map in the near future but this deal seems to be too good to miss and the reviews ive read point to it being a very useful remap.
I want to buy it now but maybe not install it until after the winter and the roads are a bit more driveable - is this possible or does it need to be installed straight away for the superchips warranty etc. Does it matter that there is no RR & before/after tests involved etc?
Also I need new front brake pads - should I just stick with the OEM pads or look at some upgrade (not expensive - few hundred ! ) to handle the extra power that I hope the remap will deliver!
Any help appreciated!

If you got the money its worth upgradeing to the R32 brakes seeing as you have got the remap.
-
Thats the beauty of Bluefin... you can install it and remove it as many times as you want, it resets the flash counter.
It takes 20mins to switch maps, so you can even do it each morning if you really wanted to

I would be mighty impressed if you can wait three months without uploading the map.. I for one would have no chance.. You must have a serious amount of patience..

£391 (including VAT & UK delivery)???
Do they do trials like revo?
-
To be Honest Vtec i'm probably not gonna be able to wait if im honest
and No Golf Clubs - they dont do a trial but supposedly do a 7 day no quibble refund if you are not satisified! Also if you purchase the unit through JKM in Portsmouth you also get a £30 voucher to use in their online shop! Bonus !
-
Currently £390 Inc VAT and Del and £30 of JKM vouchers.

Sadly it would prolly cost me £390 to travel to Portsmouth and back to take advantage of those vouchers...unless they can be used online.... ??
-
You can use them online or over the phone.

Have you read the thread about the recent GTi rolling road day ?
I'd check it out before deciding on the Bluefin
A lot of bluefin members e-mailed Superchips (and one visited them the next working day !) after seeing the results and got an updated map ... not sure if this was just for ED30's but worth checking out :-

I was concerned too after reading the threads above .... but after speaking to Superchips and visiting them my car went from 229bhp standard to 295 bhp remapped - and I am very happy
I am pretty sure they addressed the concerns of the owners adequately - they seem to have made a few changes to their original map for the Edition 30. People getting it mapped now would get the newer map ... which I can confirm works very well indeed
