Ok i've been scouring the net and can only find the press release photos so far, I'd love to see some different colours (especially black )
Here's my favourite so far

Absolute gorgeous car that is. 8)
I'd go as far in saying that's better looking than the Sirrocco!!
There's a feature on it in this weeks Auto Express if anyone's interested.

Agreed, the new Scirocco looks crap. I'd much rather have the new GTi (in black)

I do hope the A-pillar back tinted windows are an option and not standard like on the rocco, they just spoil the look for me.

Yeah even the 4 door has tints in the rear, there's a load more pics in the link below.
My fave pic so far!

....
My favourite pic too! So glad they made that lower "U" in grey to pick it out.
-
I think they should have made the 'smiley' in the lower grill outlined in red- to pick up where the MK 5 left off.
Think that would look awesome!
-
That pic of the blue Mk6 is the best and the first time I have looked at a picture of the Mk6 and been tempted
-
That blue MK6 looks mean
-
Improved quality maybe but the audio system is not a great fit in this photo

:smug:
-
....
I really don't like the Mk6 dashboard details - That lower control panel looks far too fussy and tricky to use while driving. I really hate the new steering wheel too.
-
Robin, It is the same as the passat cc  (you probably know that already lol) and i must admit the 'dial' section does not feel as firm to use imo.
-
....
I was looking at a new Passat CC in my dealer's showroom on Friday - Stunning in a rich midnight blue but a very big car and not my style (being a GTI man-racer!). Whatever car cabin it's in, I don't like the look of those controls but I'll sit in that Passat CC next time I visit and play with the controls.

I have noticed they have changed the gear knob between the concept (white car) and those shown at Paris? The concept has a smooth gear knob where as the Paris cars have the classic golf ball inspired gear knob!

I think the smooth gear knob is the DSG and the golf ball the manual option.
less of this nob talk please, this is a car forum
-
Well spotted VeedubDan i missed that. The gearknob was one of the things i wondered why they had not changed to the golfball for the mk6 looks like they now have.
-
Now to compare knobs!

Looks like there may be some changes from the concept to actual.
Is it me or does that centre consol around the stick manual Paris pic look "Blue"???
-
Well spotted, I def prefer the golf ball one
-
The manual is just a standard ED30 gearknob
-
I think most of us probably knew that
It does look blue on my computer too. I pray its just camera and lighting and VW are not doing a toyota and putting blue coloured dashes in blue cars. PLEASE NO!
-
looks alot better then the artists impression pics released a while ago ... like the look of the mk5 better tho
-
Why no rubbing strip?!
I know the argument is it spoils the lines etc, but not half as much as a 'ding' in the side will spoil them and sooner or later that is what will happen.
I'm paranoid about leaving my Mk V where someone could park next to it and it's got rubbing strips!

Cool find :afro: - Good to hear some 'real-world' comments rather than from pro motoring journo's/marketeers.
-
I had a good look at a new MKVI Golf tonight (a TDI!), the dealerships over here are doing a "VW weekend", pushing the Golf, Scirocco and Passat CC.
The interior is definitely a step up quality wise, the front end is better looking than the standard front end on the MKV I think. Still not sure about the rear though and those lights. Overall though, its very similar to the MKV. Only the keen spotter would tell them apart!
One thing I did notice is that the Scirocco's interior is much closer to the MKV than the new MKVI, e.g. the new MKVI has a colour highline computer, new climate control knobs, etc, whereas the Scirocco's interior retains the same "red" computer and climate controls as the (now old!) MKV!
And in both cars, we've lost the lovely blue dash-lighting. It lights up white/red now, same as the Audi's.
-
Still like the mk5. Maybe fit edition 30 style wheels but change the colour of them ?.

GTI looks best in blue
anybody know the full colour line up?
im guessing this time all the colours will be metallic not just steel grey, shadow blue and reflex silver like on the mk5s
im lucky i have pearl effect paint

-

Probably waiting for the ED35 to do that
The Monza wheels are BBS btw.
-
i love the wheels they are exactly the same as mine
still cant understand why they got rid of the blue interior lights

....I agree - Black insert Monza's are the very best for the GTI (except when they get white worm!).
I reckon they probably got rid of the blue instrument lighting because od legibility - White is much more crystal clear. Also VAG reasons of economy of scale.

The old stering wheel pictured on the VW site must be wrong! Even the MK vi standard golfs get the new multifunction wheel if you option it!
I better be right about this or i am going to be an unhappy mk vi owner!!
-
Every photo except that one i have seen has had the new wheel in. Odd that but what do we expect from VWuk website
-
Looks the nuts. Anyone getting one? Whats the power gonna be any ideas?
-
MK6 GTI will be a revised version of the 2.0T with 208bhp 11 more than the MK5. Thats from memory btw, but im pretty sure Im right.
-
fog lights are so sexy!!

Beuty!
