Looks very good!

I've had no problems with my painted front - it's been painted for about 8 months now. Are there just bad roads around your area which have led to your decision?

I do like the black lower part. I actually considered de-colour-coding that part

I'd agree, do the side strips and front splitter, well worth it IMO  :smug:

I never quite understood why VW didn't paint the GTIs bumper like that in the first place, BTW looks great apart from the mud flaps, which should only be fitted to Land Rovers IMO.

Do you mind if I ask how much it costs to spray the rear bumper?

Agree - bumper paint looks sweet. Nothing wrong with flaps IMHO - got them myself on car from new. Sensible option to prevent stones flying up against your own and others paintwork. Should be standard fitment

I,m thinking of having that done..Leaving the lower black and the skirts/lip.

How much did they charge?.. Did they smooth it out first, its kinda rough to the touch as standard..

£60 !!!!! HOW !?

I can only assume that is a mates rate and you know someone in that line of work than can get it done?

I see we're in the same area, who did the work for you?  Picking mine up tomorrow in the same colour and I'll deff be getting that done.  As mentioned I'm guessing that was mates rates?  Or was it a special price for those funny little pictures of the queen?

£60!! damn!! i just got my full bumper and sides done at the local VW bodyshop and it cost £300 - i thought that was reasonable as i noticed a few people on hear were quoted £400+ and thats IF they could find somewhere to actually do it.

as a coincidence i was gonna post a couple of pics of mine today but you stole my thunder  not seen any other colour coded laser blue's though so thats fine

i think it looks better with black bits but i think a rear edition 30 bumper might look better on it :undecided:

The colour does seem to come out lighter in my pic's than it looks IRL. The colour match is spot on and i was slightly concerned that having it blue all the way down might make the a$$ look big (megane anyone? yikes  ) but it makes it look sleaker in my opinion.

it need those little details to pull it off as the normal bumper is smooth

what little details?

i like the ED30 bumper but i don't think it looks that different to the normal bumper and wasn't worth the extra cost.

I'll give it a clean & wax and take a pic as the sun is going down and it will seem darker blue and hopefully pow like it does if you see it in real life.
