oky doke had my clutch fitted yesterday - that works a treat except that i know have a metal on metal noise when turning right AND only turning right
also only makes this noise when going foward not backward.....
suggestions??
i think its a driveshaft rubbing against something :undecided: or it even possibly sounds like the brake caliper is catching the wheel though i've never had any problems before.
took it to local garage who suggested it was the exhaust :lipsrsealed: twits!

Something wrong with the brake caliper or disc?
Splash shield bent?

I had this noise after I got my clutch fitted, the noise is...........
Your brake disc n pad, I'm guessing they have been on the car over 6months & bed in now. So when you remove them & refit them they won't sit exactly in the same place & you get that rubbing noise turning right.
The noise went after 4 days of driving (the pads bed in again)
Jay
ps. Volks speed cluch WOW, my MPG has gone up alot & it revs great

The reason it's only for turning right (Like mine) I can only assume the following...
Due to the location of the carrier for the brakes, as the pads arn't as such locked into the calipers so when you turn the disc will flex causing the pad to rub on the lip on the disc.

had a new release bearing fitted at the same time as the clutch - really hope there ain't a problem like that otherwise my other thread will be completely pointless!
