Thanks, thats a good deal!!!

Can you get a close up pic, not being over fussy but it looks like the flared part of the stubby aerial overhanges the mount? perhaps its just the light making a shadow. I just want it to look OEM as possible

it follows the line of the base, there is a little gap between the base and the ariel, but i could possibly sort this by chopping some rubber out of the new Ariel

SHOCK HORROR 182_blue!

Is that white chalky staining I see there on your ariel mount??? 182_blue I'm shocked at you, after trying to keep my car as clean and shiny as yours I now see you have secretly been using AutoGlym products

Get some trim detailer on that pronto to get it back to its black "as new state", thats an order!

Just in time, I need a new aerial for the Mk4 and this looks like it will do - the old one is perished and splitting where I can only assum the previous owner used a dreaded car wash!!

Should fit a Mk4 I assume?

there is a gap with the cheap one as can be seen in my picture, im either going to try and chop some rubber from the new ariel, or fit a little washer to fill the gap

For £11.30 you can have a genuine VW part that fits, looks great and is really short, giving a clean look.

As for putting a Honda part on a VW, Jeremy Clarkson would have a heart attack!!!

Just ordered that one as well.
I already have a very short (3 cm) antenna, but prefer the looks of this one. And hopefully a bit better reception.
For 11 pounds or so worth trying.

The Citroen one is totally unusable for me. Slight impovement if you force the seond tuner to radio rather than TMC but still not good at all. Never had a blip even with the factory fit aerial.
