there is a gap with the cheap one as can be seen in my picture, im either going to try and chop some rubber from the new ariel, or fit a little washer to fill the gap

I bought the Honda S2000 one of ebay for £8 its a bit longer but looks good dont think theres a gap either, now for the scary bit.advertise it as a mk5 golf aerial and pay £23, advertise as s2000 only £8 i know which one i bought :laugh: :laugh:

For £11.30 you can have a genuine VW part that fits, looks great and is really short, giving a clean look. 

As for putting a Honda part on a VW, Jeremy Clarkson would have a heart attack!!!  :wink:

i got as far as taking the old one of and that was it got side tracked. :laugh:
here's a thing though the prev aerial on mk2 seat leon which looks ident had a tamper thing on it where as the golf just screws out? would have expected it to be other way round.

Look at Markymarks, its the one, fits like its meant to be on there. And its a genuine VW part.
what makes you think its a VW part ?

Which replacement do you have K4ith? Does it fit ok and can you get your normal radio stations?

I bought mine from here http://www.mazda3forums.com/enigma/antenna.html it arrived yesterday from Canada only ordered it late last week, looks very cool not had chance to try it yet!

Just ordered that one as well.
I already have a very short (3 cm) antenna, but prefer the looks of this one. And hopefully a bit better reception.
For 11 pounds or so worth trying.
