has anybody got any before and after photos of there GTI lowered?
Really thinking about doing mine but dunno if it will be usable like it is now with the bumps, roads around here?
-
This is how low im runnning mine and it clears all the speedhumps round here and deals with the crappy country roads ok too.

KoniFSD + Eibach Pro-Kit + Eibach Anti Roll Bars = Very practical for fast road use
My car looks soooo different before all the mods!!

@ Red rob...
Is it also wearing 18s in the after pic?

....Yes, but the overall wheel+tyre circumference remains the same. The lowering difference can be seen in the tyre to wheel arch gaps. It's not a lot when you use KoniFSD's because otherwise they won't function properly - It's 'real-world ride' versus 'lowered look', and much as I loved the lowered look, I much prefer the handling I've got.

How do you know have you tried one as low as mine?
Mines on coilovers btw theres a thread about them a page or so back.

....Yes, I have - An 05 build 270 bhp road and track Mk5 GTI on Bilstein PSS-9 height adjustable coil-overs, but only dropped 30mm for the road, resulting in a more comfortable ride for the road - Pic :-

All I'm saying is that I prefer a less rock-hard ride for the road, especially in my neck of the woods. Also, my driving style prefers to avoid tyre rubbing (and wheelspin). Do you do trackdays, block?
Btw, in my opinion you should always do a 4-wheel laser alignment after changing tyres or suspension, if you can.

You got anymore pictures of the blue mk5 Red?, liking them rims

Before:

After:
Still completely useable and comfortable, obviously a bit stiffer but the suspension doesn't crash on its stops and the handling is much improved.
-
this is on coilovers, not the lowest ive had it as it was just impractical and all 4 tyers were unler the arches  but is now raised a lil bit so theres clearence, also got anti rolls

Ditto, they are nice however my first impression was that there should be a mercedes badge in the middle!

Wow thanks guys all your lowered GTIs look well H0T!!
Im after the koni fsd and eibach kit.. could i install the springs first then the konis after?
Awesome gti told me with just the koni fsd it will be higher than it is now but with the eibach aswell it will be lowered about 10-15mm frum stock height as i dont wana lower it to much because the eibachs alone will be 30mm.
But all your pix of your cars look ok theres enough ground clearence.
Do you suggest i wait untill i can afford the konis fsd and get them both fitted at the same time?
Any cheap places i can buy both? Awesomegti is excellent but a lil pricey

Here's mine lowered about 30-35mm on Eibach coilovers by Awesome

The ride is a little firmer but not uncomfortable and body control is brilliant

wow that pic has just convinced me.. i was thinking that 30mm would drop it to much but looks just how it should.

....They're River ET45 19's. Another friend also has these rims, and also on a Laser Blue which he regularly tracks.

....I would definitely wait and have it done and aligned all in one (cheaper) workshop session.
Awesome(GTI) aren't especially expensive compared to most Koni and Eibach stockists. I don't know how expensive their workshop sessions are but they will supply only.
