Title: Fitting Tweeters
Post by: daniel-1986 on 27 February 2008, 12:49
i am gonna fit sum tweeters into the plastic trim covering the wing mirror srews on a mk2 golf using the same technique as this http://www.talkaudio.co.uk/vbb/showthread.php?t=159311 but pointing at a 45 degree angle towards u and was wondering would it be better to use self tapping screw to put it back on or would the plastic clips hold it without falling off

i would personally pop em in the dash m8..  the hole is already there and its more stelth to keep those little chavvy eyes at bay.

I would go with the original plan, put them on the "sail panel" on the back of the mirror - it will sound loads better.

I drilled mine, and fitted with black countersunk head screws into small plastic plugs pushed into the original mounting holes - sort of like a rawplug if you get me.  Saves them falling off.
