Concept of Earth Grounding System
On a normal system, electric current flows from a positive terminal to a negative terminal through the car body. But there are much resistance at connectors of body, engine and transmission. The resistance disturbs this flow of electricity to a degree that electrical components such as computer, lamp and spark plugs cannot perform at their peaks. In order to get the highest performance out of any automobile, it is necessary to achieve a maximum electricity flow with the least resistance along its electrical circuit.
In short, a grounding system does to your electrical circuit like a high performance intake & exhaust system does for the gas. We believe such system is the basic of all tune-up if you want to unleash the maximum performance of your car.
What benefits does it provide?
Faster engine start-up
More stable idling
Smoother and faster throttle response
Improved engine torque throughout the rev range
Better fuel economy
Brighter headlight output
Longer battery life
Improve car electrical equipment. (EG audio sound quality, power windows, power sunroof, etc)
Be looking at about £15 a kit as long as me and a company agree on a price to knock up these kits...
would anyone be interested??

Are these serious? and actually do what they say on the tin sorta thing?
Plus when would you be getting them in?
Cheers WK
-
I dont get where you fit them? for what? to what?
-
A mate of mine fitted some of those to his Civic Type R he thinks they made a difference
They look pretty cool even if the don't do anything
-
where do they fit?? :undecided:

where do they fit?? :undecided:
Im interested, just i wonder the same thing!
-
They earth every part of the engine and gearbox separately
-
They fit a bit like this...

but neater obviously lol
-
O right, well i think this could be fairly cool, if it helps the engine too? I need new plugs n elecy set up anyways soon, so wouldnt be much of an effort to fit these too
-
sod all that wiring ,i got enough off it in my car as it is

Along with that turbo, hah.
Well if its actually worth it then i might get some, but then i will want to colour code heaps more stuff :/
-
Got a gold kit on mine, awesome :D
-
do they work then ?
-
Got a gold kit on mine, awesome :D
So do they make a difference as far as you can tell pete?
-
definately, the response from all the electrics is a lot better
-
all it is though is few pieces off wire with connectors, can make em myself
-
all it is though is few pieces off wire with connectors, can make em myself
Makes a fair point.
So where do you put them from and too?
-
engine and gearbox to body . i cant see how this works if its that good why dont the manufactures do it in the 1st place.
-
Because they're cheapasses. Jap cars are the worst for it. Just by upgrading the earthing on a subaru impreza you can actually gain bhp

but they dont suffer from electric problems like european cars do. HONDA
-
Do they ground to the negative on the battery?
-
my mates has a hks earthing kit on his scooby and recons it not only drives better but all the electrics work quicker!! dont understand that but i understand the idea of earthing better..less earth resitance means more electric power..
-
£15 is a good price, they are a few quid more on a certain auction site.
Keep us updated on this ,I'm sure a few people will want them,me included. What colours will be available?
tony
-
That i will have to find out also...
ill def keep you updated on this though...
Thanks Dicky

is that your car? if so can you list all the points you connected, please
-
That isnt a golf mk3 anyways.!
-
its a polo 6n2 i thinks, probably a 1.4 mpi
-
Right, ive ordered a few more bumper vents and ill also be having a few of these sets in so ill take a few pics of them so you can see them
Ill be selling them at 18 quid cos theres a fair bit of wiring to them so postage will be a bit more than i first thought.
They only come in blue.
When i get them ill post up pics.
Thanks Dicky

I'm still confused as to where the other end of the 5 leads go...???....would I need to change battery terminal to accomodate 5 connections too..?...hopefully they'l come with instructions.
-
eye candy upgrade im afraid, all it will do is give the flow of current from a positive point to a negative point (ie the chassie or neutral terminal of the battery) a quicker path, but you are talkin' about milli/micro seconds of a difference, it wont do any harm.
its like buying a gold plated scart (the difference is not noticeable) if you believe it will work then it will. (only really useful over a long distance to have gold/silver/platinum over copper/steel)
it could shave vital microseconds off the start up time of your MFA or Radio.
it does look good though, sorry
-
They do come with fitting instructions,
with regards to the look good mod... some people swear by them and have proved gains from them so i dont know where you come from with that one.
Well im going to fit a kit to mine and if no one else wants them then they will be on egay
-
im an electronic service engineer mate.
any proven data is going to be very marginal is what im saying.... im not trying to piss on your parade, im just saying things like platinum tipped spark plugs are where there is a real potential gain to be had, at the crucial point of ignition.
anywayz if my engine bay was worth showing i would perhaps do this mod, (myself tho)
Germans dont fack about when it comes to the development of vehicles hence why we all rockin dubz, im sure there wiring is/has been designed to be optimal.
EZ, my 2 cents
