I'm pretty sure my Golf doesn't come with a centre armrest for the driver.
Is there anywhere I can buy one from? If so, is it easily fitted?
Cheers!

I guess it's a trade off. I get a 99, so have slightly crappier wheels, and no arm rest etc. But I get gorgeous black recaro seats!!

Hey, I read an AGU engine can only go up to a max of 210bhp, that true?

Yes and no. The AGU wont remap as much as some of the others because it has a
different turbo (K03 not a K03S) But you can always upgrade the turbo and downpipe and get mega BHP :afro:

KO3s upgrade isnt actually that hard tbh, you can see 240-250 with a stage 2 map, but you need to fit a front mount, exhaust system and a new t.i.p if your going to do that! (im doing it in a few weeks on my aum)
all about the armrests too mate its my next purchase!

Yes not too bad: http://www.tdiclub.com/articles/Golf_Armrest/

I've got a armrest on mine and dont actually use it that much, what do you lot put in yours? Ive only ever used it for long motorway drives at night but then its like your sitting in a big comfy chair with the heater on and the lights at the side of the motorway humming past you listening to the sunday surgery........ zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
-
Use mine all the tine, I dont know how I lived before it. I also keep my petrol reciepts there which I need to collect monthly for work.
Every car I buy from now on MUST have an armrest. Drove the old mans bimmer a month or so ago now and I didnt have it, makes such a diffrence.

I just won it for £90!
The one I got off E-bay was Sh1te and never did fit into my car properly  Took bloody ages to fit the lower bracket on (needed to grind it down to fit the nuts on properly) then realised that the bracket was totally wrong in the first place....bit difficult to explain what I mean in words, but it looked like it needed a 'spacer'.... Long and short of it it's in a box in my loft
-
I'm hoping this one will be ok, it's come out of an old Golf, so had to fit in there properly the first time around :)

the genuine one does need a spacer, IIRC the 2 bolts on the drivers side screw straight in, but the passenger side is raised to allow for the hand brake cable.
basically the spacer has an internal and external thread, that secure the hand brake, and then raises the height for the other side of the arm rest mount.
I had to get one for mine, as the bloke i got it from left his spacer on the car the arm rest came from, £1.50 odd from the stealer's.

thank god i got one with mine :smug: wouldnt fancy messing around fitting the bugger
