OK, so I'm the laziest polisher and a complete novice at this, my routine was;
- Wet down the paint with the hose to remove the dust
- A bucket of car shampoo and a soft brush on a stick
- Rinse with the hose
- Dry off with a microfibre cloth
- Apply Dodo Juice with my hands to 1 shaded side of the car at a time
- Buff off with a microfibre cloth
- Move on to the next side
- Admire the results and bandage the cuts on my fingers....boy those plastics are sharp LOL
Comments and suggestions welcomed :)
I didn't do my plastics or rubbers.....what is the best way to do them ?

Looks good dude!
I think most people on here would recommend the kiwi shoe polish route for black plastics - not tried it myself but I've heard good things.
For the tyres - I use Meguiars tyre dressing - works a treat and get a deep black / wet look that lasts. Just needs to be sprayed on.

Looks gorgeous mate.. Its what the weekends are for!
Iv started usin the shoe polish and its actually un-believable.. Rub it on usin the sponge bit on the end then wipe the excess off.. WOW!
-
kewl thanks for the suggestions :)
I must say I'm very impressed with the Dodo Juice, very easy to apply and buff off by hand...wasn't cheap tho, but seems worth it at £2-ish per application.

I hope that my Mars red comes up as good as that.
I also have a set of the same wheels to go on after a refurb.
-
that looks lovely! i use dodo juice and thought it was pretty cheap... comparatively. if i was you, bin the brush and buy a good washmit! look in the car cleaning section of this err section and there is some good washing tips there.

Best thing for your plastics and rubber is Black Boot Polish. Reasons for this are ...
1 - Most Back to Black / Tyre Shine products are silicon based, They leave a residue (the shine) which attracts dust.
2 - Boot polish had dye in it, so it will cover up any 'fade' in your plastics.
3 - Boot polish is wax based, so even if you do get some dust settling on it the next time you drive in the rain or hose the car down the dust will run off with the water.
-
Tried boot polish, and the stuff in the bottle, also tried a blowtorch. Nothing gets a good a result IMO as masking off the bumpers and using acryllic bumper paint. It's nice and matt and it lasts forever. It's also a very good match to original stuff - bought some genuine g60 arches and where they meet the painted sills you can barely tell the difference.

bumper paint?? never heard of that... is it expensive?

deffo... they hold contaminates within and not on the surface reducing the possibility of swirl/scratches
also two bucket method is a must

Nah, found it by the cans of spray paint in the motor factors.

I notice you have the german number plates... awsome! have ou even been pulled over for them of fined?
i soo want them but apparently they are illegal, car looks good btw...
-
Never once been pulled or fined. But that's probably cause they're irish plates and I'm in Ireland.
