anybody know whether i need to prime my crappy old alloys before i spray hammerite on them?
I have just bought 3 rattle cans of smooth black hammerite for cheap. I appreciate i'll have to key the surface of the wheel up to remove old lacquer etc but will i need special aluminium primer?

nope.. hammerite sticks to pretty much anything.
-
Ace, thanks for that!!
Gotta love this site...

You could use etch primer but as said with Hammerite why bother
