Hi,im Dave i,ve been into golf GTI' since about '89.I've had lots of GTI' but only mk1,2,3'.I competed in various sprint and hillclimb championships in one of my mk1'which i will post some pics of it up when my nipper loads them onto the PC for me :rolleyes:This is my current GTI mk3 16V in satin silver, its not very modded just decent suspension, nice camshafts and a decat. But plenty left to do.Though i believe this will end up as my next trackday car as i have just sold my dragbike so am lookin to get back to the roundy roundy tracks but just for a bit of fun this time.I hope you like.

Well hello to you Dave!

hello and welcome
I like the ride height on your golf, how much has it been lowered by?
nice bike too, not a fan of bikes but that thing looks pretty cool, and extremely fast I would imagine

Hi guys, the golf is lowered about 60mm at the front and 35-40mm at the back.It makes for a bit of lift off oversteer which is always handy.
The bike was a bit quick 8.3secs@176mph down the quater,The miserable face is because i,d just wheeled it out to go to its new owner.

were currently building a 1650cc nitrous hayabusa dragbike to run in the new outlaw class that should run very low 7'or once i get used to it and we start really spraying the engine high 6' @ probably around the 200mph mark. But that bike were building at the shop i work at so not all my money tied up in that
So i should have some to start messing with my mk3.

Welcome Dave.

Hi again guys, thanks for the nice comments on my bike and car etc.
Well after selling my hillclimb/sprint mk1 7 years ago a suprise phone call from a long forgotten work colleague came the other day, it went a little something like this "Hello dave long time no speak this is$%^ Just a quick call really to say hello and pick your brains." "Hello buddy, sure what can i help you with" says i. "Well what it is,is were moving to france in about ten days and i,m trying to off load one or two bits and bobs and i wondered if you knew anybody that would be interested in them" "well if i cna help i will. What you got" I reply "Well theres my wives VR6 highline{which will probably be for sale on here in a week or so} and i.ve still got my MK1 in the garage aswell".So to cut a long story short i now have a mk1 gti to play with.I could'nt be more happy if i tried it needs some work, but basically i intend to build a trackday/ring toy out of it.Now after many years away from the scene i,m after some help in the engine direction and advice from anybody who runs a ABF engine. This is a sterling engine which drags my mk3 along lovely. So hopefully with abit of help from you guys i should be able to fire a nice toy together.Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,Dave.

I hope you guys like it.It was sold seven years ago as i couldnt drive it after my bike accident. Its new owner as restored it in a more modern "cruiser"[whatever that means] way.
