-
Remove one of the middle box's or get a different back box
-
thanx was thinking bout trying a diff back box. do u know of any good 1s? will it fit ok?
-
its not about having a very loud exhaust, trust me!lol.ive been driving about in a car with a loud exhaust, sets of car alarms an stuff.it does your head in after a while.does sound the nuts in car parks and tunnels though........
-
i like havin a loud exhaust well not 2 loud but i liked the 1 i had on my driver but it was just a back box want the sound again
-
thinkin bout scorpion or piper apparently they r suppose 2 b deep sounding any1 got any ideas??
-
I got a scorpion system on my Gti and its very loud when givin it some and pops on the change down, can also be quiet when drivin sensibly. And thats with one centre box i used to get the gf's mum complaining when i pulled up cause she said the house vibrated lol. Gives a nice deep burble on idle to.

Just take the front silencer off and replace it with a straight bit of pipe.
-
Have a word with Haribo off here, he might sell you his system, which is apparently rather loud.
-
dont exhausts take some time to bed in? then they become noisier.
-
got mine done at at place in walsall mij performance, they are good, well i'm happy with my cat back system and it sounds great
-
sebring are pretty loud. had one on my cavalier in the old days.
bit pricey though. try taking the little box out from near the axle. that made a difference on my mk2.
-
Mine is too sodding loud...and it is standard
Would prefer it to be quieter then i wouldn't get every cockend in his saxo thinking i want to race
-
Powerflow mate. Mines fooking loud!
-
do you have to inform your insurance if you have a stainless steel exhaust????
-
My mum did on her car, and they weren't interested.
That said, it is always bes to declare all modifications to your insurance company otherwise they might turn around and say no.
-
Quick tip - check your rubber mounts.
Had to do mine because they went soon after I had a new system fitted and it made it sound a lot louder!
-
I have just had a magnex fitted on mine, However when I start it up it's very tinnny. But once warmed up it sounds fine anyone else had this. However it's only loud when I get above 3500 revs which is how I like it
Oh Mk2 Gti 8v by the way.

I'll second that,i just bought a mk2 gti 16v which has a scorpion exhaust and i think it sounds fantastic!!
Nice deep burble on tick over and just loud enough to here when driving normally but when you want to give it some it just roars and sounds class.

Yup mines the same dude, tinny when could but a right loud beast when warm
Dunno what make mine is though?
When you give it large it sounds so lovely, like a racing car

my full stainless Powerflow system sounds grunty all the way up the rev band, I reckon the four branch manifold helps there though
