Title: fuse taps

how manhy wires is it possible to connect to a fuse tap ignition switched live without overloading it. eg. fuel mix gauge, oil pressure, ex gas temp. will three be too much on that one feed. thanks in advance for any replies

if your only putting guages on them, they will take f.a. current so should be fine.

just carry a spare fuse incase.

also, not sure what to fuse rating is, but you could possibly use one of the larger fuses on top of the battery, bring a connection off that and put a smaller in line fuse in, therefore putting the load on one of the 20-30A fuses rather than a smaller fuse, while still protecting the circuit with a smaller 2A fuse or simelar.

cheers pal, may try the fuse taps under the steering column first if not would i be right in thinking i use the interior relay ppanel fuse with an inline 2amp fuse?? You will be fine running the gauges of one live, I did it all ok on the vRS

I took a feed from the light wiring, used an inline fuse and never had an issue.

i new to all this and have struggled a bit locating wires, electrics are deffo not my forte lol

ive got a voltage reader thing lol but cant seem to get the wire that switches on with the ignition. will have another piss aboutwith it tomorrow. once i have found the wire do i jut put a junction box type thing in to connect all wires together?

Hi matey not seen him yet but you can buy off flea bay a piggy back fuse carrier pull your fuse from fuse board and plug the new fuse carrier in then put the original fuse back in to protect that circuit and the second fuse for the new circuit hope this helps regards
