My reg on insurance sites say 125 bhp 1800 and confuse.com shows a picture of a mk2 golf :undecided:
All my doc's for the car say its a 1.8t agu import , insurance say its not a import.
-
Maybe because bhp is different at the wheels compared to the flywheel. :undecided:
-
Did it 100% start life as a 1.8t or has it had a conversion
-
Insurance database is full of oddities / mistakes
My 130 showed up as 115bhp according to some insurers

  best answer yet

my guess it started out as a 1.8n/a and had a 1.8t engine fitted.
or the dvla insurance database is wrong, with the amount of cars out there there is bound to be a few mistakes

How would i find out ?
Bugs me because the mileage is 102198, but if the engine was changed it could be 200000 :undecided:
Says 110kw think thats the power output

Dead easy, take your chassis / vin number to the main dealer and they will tell you what spec it was when built.

It's just a mistake from dvla, my mk6 golf gti showed up as a mk5 golf gti Pirelli edition so not even the same model or anything. It didn't bother me, you have given the correct details to your insurance it's their fault if it's not correct, just make sure you clarify the details with them.

Its all sorted and insured now. Just trying to confirm no claim discounts and i put my nans house address instead of mine. :lipsrsealed: No one wanted to insure me, because my car is at another address.
