Title: Bonnet release catch?!
Post by: scarr89 on 02 April 2014, 17:29
I removed my bonnet release catch as I had the front slam panel off the other day. Have put it back on, in the same 'reverse' order as any good Haynes manual will tell you...But now it does not 'lock'.

You get the stage where you give the bonnet a shove to give it the final lock and it doesn't. It sits higher than the wings, in the 'stage 1' of the '2 stage' locking process.

It is well oiled/cleaned...Cannot figure it out

Anyone?

Cheers

when I took mine off it was literally a millimetre out on one side to where it should be - repositioned it and it was all good

the holes are elongated so it's adjustable , probably just a case of getting in the right position again

Both spot on.

I had a little play, it was probably 2mm out.

Cheers
