Title: Polishing exhaust tips

Hi,
What do you guys use for polishing exhaust tips? (have Autoglym super resin polish will that be ok?) The tips on my TT need to shine!  :grin:

000 extra fine grade steel wool and Autosol or Auto Finesse metal polish

Blu b gone is the best polish & sealant you will find for this job.

 Hand held steam cleaner takes it off really well, then I finish with Poorboys wheel sealant

Got Autosol for around £3.50 on ebay, grade 000 wire wool and some cloths to finish it.

just go gentle with wire wool. I'd be amazed if you need anything more that Autosol on a cloth. Also if you have a clay bar that'll work a treat too. If you don't send me your address and I'll send you a piece.

Got this...
I'll clean them and wipe with a cloth first to see if I think just Autosol and a cloth will do it :)
Will post before and after pics when I can, just a busy at work at the moment and waiting to get the Golf lol :)

Also give them a blast with a pressure washer first as it's surprising how much carbon that removes.

Funny how things have changed. It always used to be diesels that had dirty tailpipes.

 :grin: yeah my Bavarian soot chucker has clean pipes all of the time! The 35 was always being cleaned.

It's the bane of my life, since I ditched the cat it's horrendous trying to keep them clean :angry:
