My vw wheels i just took off was ET35 (i think estorils are 6" ?) 4x100 and 15" ran them with no dramas , just fitted my new wheels which are still 15" but offset is ET45 and they are 7" on my gauge (no markings)
and the o/s/r rubs on left hand lock ,
does ET equate to mm ? so i need about a 10mm spacer from what i can see from the rub mark ,
does Et work like that and anyone got any suggestions off good spacers to buy that are fairly cheap .

The higher the et number the further inside the arch it will be, if you run a 10mm spacer that should sort it all ok.

Just been out to check had the wheel off and its rubbing on the rear spring platform , i have two options here ,
raise the platform up a notch ( i run a shock and spring kit with stepped rear shock ) think ill try this first as its free
or space the wheel 10mm , think ill just space the wheel out as they look abit lost in the arch as they are
any suggestions on what ones to buy should i get the slip on shim type of hubcentric :?

Your new wheel will be 5mm closer in with those specs. Tyres make huge difference.
If you git coilovers you can take helper out and that gives some room

i have a shock and spring kit on 60/40mm springs but the rear spring platform can be moved up and down in 5mm intervals so will move that up first and get some spacers anyways as the wheels are hiding in the arch , i think ill go for either 12mm or 16mm ,

I would go with 15mm spacers on the rear and 10mm front, hubcentrics ones will be fine with longer bolts.
Just for info et45 is Vauxhall fit.

Ordered 12mm spacers for the rear (per side )
Will sort the front out next ,

yep
that 2mm won't cause too many issues but curved sidewalls will (try falkens for square sidewalls as they give extra clearance) or go for some slim spacers if you don't want to space the wheels too much (4/5mm?)

I'm running toyo t1r's which are very chunky , the back wheel is nearly 25mm away from the arch so pleanty of room to play with , so ordered the longer bolts and hubcentric spacers for the rear (12mm) going to see how they fit on the front before i put them on the rear but i think 12mm is to much on the front , get them on the rear and decide on spacing for the front . i think front i will go with a 5mm slip on either side , should be alright with 12mm on the rear and 5mm on the front or should i go for some more ?
Been a pain in the bum these wheels and wish I kept my old wheels now but im sure i will be happy as larry once they are all sorted and running sweet

Will wheels with the following fit without any rubbing issues
My options are
15x8j 15" et available to choose from 15-25
Or a 15 x7j 15" et available 15-25
Buying new wheels and the wheel dealer gave me them as my options I want them to fit without a hitch
I'm down 60/40 on shock and springs on a 195 /50 /15
Just worried 8" is to wide for a mk3 ?
