Just ordered a set :) they look a million miles better than the standard yellow ones. What are they like to fit?
-
So ave you turned the DRL's off and in the pics your headlights are lit up with the LEDs?
-
I dont think there is an after-market DRL yet is there?
Isnt it a two in one with full beam...is it h15 bulb.
-
I've just ordered a set of these to.
Awaiting delivery so fingers crossed no errors.
I turned my drls off and activated my fog lamps as my drls which is a nice white light and looks a million times better. (My opinion of course)

Side lights are single filament

I recieved mine last night and with some swearing managed to get them fitted!!
Not a lot of room for your hand to manouvre!!
on the upside they look so much better!!!
-
stanmoar, i think im going to struggle getting my hand into the hole at the back of the light unit, may see if the girlfriend can get her hand in haha
-
I've just fitted these to my gtd and they look great with no errors.
Took me an hour though as my hands are like shovels and the holders were very tight to remove.
Fiddly but worth it

how is that done?
-
Using vagcom turn on foglamps as drl and turn off your existing ones using the indicator stalk.
At least its a white light rather than the original yellow bulb.
There's a how to somewhere I'll see if I can find it

Sounds interesting! I don't like having to drive around in daylight with my xenons on all the time as they are the DRL's on mine
-
Here's the how to I used.

thanks mate
-
I cant get my side lights out :( fat hands :(
-
Mine were very tight too.
I ended up putting slight pressure on the wires and the passenger side popped out.
The drivers one I removed my fuel filter housing (diesel) and used some pliers.
I applied Vaseline to both holders to help if required again.
-
ill have another go at the weekend, was gutted when i gave up after 15 minutes with sore hands!
-
I had the same problem so I used a small pair of pliers
To get hold of the tab and pulled it out slowly!!! Same for putting it back in!!
-
Fitted mine this morning and they worked perfectly, such an easy item to fit especially after the Clio. Anyone got a link to the error free bulbs for the number plate lights as I want LEDs for those now.

Is yours an 09 car?
Just wondered as mines 59 plate and I've tried some error free lamps from eBay already and they didn't work.
People say that pre 2010 can't use led number plate lamps.
Just checking before I take the plunge.
-
yep '09 plate mate and I've had absolutely no problems using the LED plate lights I've linked
-
Just bought some.
Cheers
-
Cheers pryda, will try them and hopefully will be error free. Just need to source rear LEDs now when I have the money.
-

Ill post some pics when fitted.

I've got some led plate LED's as well, advertised as error free but I get a dash error message. LED's work though and they look ace, but I might get a set of the whole light unit instead of justthe LED's.
Then need to get some rear LED lights too
-
I've also fitted the Mtec's , anyone got any handy tips for next time I try to get the holders back in??
I had to get a mate to try the pax side as my hands were cut to shreds!!!

Well these arrived today and I fitted them and there no errors and they look well.
I've double sided taped the resistor box to the ledge beside the hole for the lamp.
Pleased with them.
Thanks mate.
-
All the people struggling to remove their sidelights are you all Halogen or Xenon headlights? Reason I ask is because I did my sidelights today (xenon headlights) and it was an absolute piece of pi55! Literally 5 seconds per side
-
All halogen mate.
They are an absolute piss take, I'm hoping the LEDs are ultra reliable and I don't ever need to remove them.
