Title: Thinking about buying mk4 next week

It's a 1.8 20vt with 156000 on clock, what things should I look out for when I go to have a look? And will car be alright with this high mileage? Thanks :)

Full service history. Campbelt changed 15000 miles ago.

Check coil pack recall see if been done. Check coil pack wiring for breaks etc.

Oops it says when it was done .stupid me probz still stressed over my bonnet being stuck lol

Turbo

These are the three main things when your looking at over 100k.....I would only get it if it runs sweet and is cheap tbh

Basically you need to know 2 things:-

1:- do you have lots of spare cash around
2:- do you have lots of spare time and are handy with a toolkit

If you can answer yes to both then go for it  :grin:

Yes yes and yes and the spare is a better car until the project is finished  :whistle:

and do you have a spare car whilst its off the road for months on end!!  :grin:
