This is what I hate about this forum- ends up costing me lots of dough in mods I keep wanting!
Halfway through the aero wiper mod at moment- replaced back wiper with the BMW jobbie as road salt had corroded the original arm and it snapped when I went to clean the glass.
Can you get punched leather retrim from your guy?

I've just replaced my wipers with the aero type ones, however I got 2 different types of fittings with mine, so no need to change the wiper arms. I'm surprised you had to change yours wiper arms

Bugger now I know how you feel! I'd forgotten about wiper arms! Doh!
Yeah he can do just what you want

He might be doing what I did, changing the arms to a TT arm and a Lupo GTi arm to allow for a true, flat aero wiper to go on rather than a retrofit.

Exactly that Shady- I have already got the Bosch retrofit blades for hooked arms but they look a bit big and clunky.

Well I got my wheel done by Jack at Royal Steering Wheels and was more than impressed with the workmanship and the quality of the materials. I did a wheel exchange so I got a new wheel to swap over with my old one.
I was so impressed with what he had done with the wheel I thought my gear knob and handbrake now looked out of place with worn leather, so I got him to do these too.
Superb work and now makes the interior complete for me, bar a rip in the seat bolster fabric- which is the last job to fix!
100% recommended

That looks sweet kodkod :afro:
-
Great finish. :afro:
-
How much was all of that?
-
£150 for the lot- not sure how that would compare to buying used anni bits, but this is brand new leather. Car is my daily driver and was getting fed up with shiny steering wheel and a gearknob that had worn through to he plastic.
-
Thats very good. What name of material was used? Thinking of getting mine done via same company
-
My order was
steering wheel: perforated leather at east and west / grainy leather at north and south with red stitching
gearknob top: perforated leather
handbrake cover: perforated leather with red stitching
-
Looks spot on mate
-
that, looks, the bollox! worth every penny i'd say, serious craftmanship
-
Looks top notch
