Can someone tell me what hole the lambda sensor is meant to be in on the AGU 1.8T my friend has been to have his exhaust fitted and they've done a really poor job.
No they didn't do a poor job. just the exhaust is that badly designed no wonder its only £240....Stevie wonder could of done a better job.

Email replied to mate

Cheers wazzer, no way he's been driving round with it in the after cat hole, what would this cause?
We don't know who it is tbh, my friend has phoned the company who fitted his 3" system and they told him they replaced the sensor in the same hole as his previous exhaust system.
-
We'll it probably won't make that much difference now with the decat but it wouldn't have been ideal before...
-
Does anyone else's 3" exhaust system only have 1 lambda sensor hole? as my mates does and its hitting the heat shielding. This can't be right.
This 3" exhaust is the worst why did my mate sell his Milltek  .....blowing, rattles, only 1 lambda sensor hole, lambda sensors not fitting, clip's snapping, stupidly loud. I was laughing at him because he's just wasted £240
-
I have not checked mine for the sensors but mine went on no problems.. and is stil problem free ??
-
The clips are cack, yes!
There was 2 lambda holes in the system I fitted,
The rear lambda was awkward but has now been sorted with a 90deg lambda adaptor.
It can rattle if its not fitted properly, usually with the crappy clips that are supplied.
Needs to be adjusted so it doesn't knock on the rear beam.
This exhaust is very good quality and does get quieter with time.
If your mates exhaust is blowing, it hasn't been fitted properly.
-
What's this 90 degree lambda adapter you speak of? Think your my new best friend. (if it works of course)
New mikalor clips ordered, silicone exhaust paste ordered. It doesn't bang over the rear beam. I think its the heat shield hitting the back box.
There is only 1 lambda sensor on an AGU would a 90 degree lambda adapter cause running issues?
-
Mines got 2 holes man! Also rattles a tiny bit but I just need to stop the back box moving slightly and it is fine :)
-
I don't really rate Mikalor clamps as they allow the exhaust to twist lose after time.
We used large U clamps on the exhaust, apart from the rear one over the rear beam as its really tight in there.
Here is the adaptor, the one we bought was a lot cheaper though.

I might have to give in and chop mine in for something quieter...

Did that extra silencer not do much? I'm thinking along the same lines myself tbh :undecided:

I love the sound of the exhaust....it sounds mint.....all i want now is a bit of popping sound....
-
Not a great deal mate. I'll see how it fairs with the missus and kids when I drive down to Weymouth in a few weeks time then go from there.

Try and keep it at low revs befor the boomyness kicks in :undecided:

Im loving the sound of mine the only problem iv had is i get unwanted noise from it when either pulling away or turning around a very slow bend in first/second gear. Took it back to the garage last week and he said that something was rubbing on the heat-shield  anyway he did something that made it stop for 50 miles or so but now its back again. Im glad i took it to the garage as iv got piece of mind that it its alright but the noise is annoying

which noise? the exhaust drone or the rattle?

It will probably be the middle bracket is too long and hitting the middle heat shield as mine is the same just ent had time to cut it down yet :)
-
Mines settled now and it knocks over the rear beam so will changing that u clamp for a miklor clamp (or what ever it is!!!)

Yeah thats what happens on mine. Im not to fussed as it doesnt happen when going fast. Only happens when i pull away but id like to get it sorted.
