Title: devils own wmi progressive controller (voltage).
Post by: wotavudunn on 17 December 2012, 00:35
does anyone have one of these kits fitted to the AGU 1.8T? as i can only hook the controller up to my MAF. the green wire on the controller should attach to a wire on the MAF that at idle should read between 0.8-1.2 volts and with the ignition on without the car started it should read between 1.8 - 2.8 volts. now ive tested all the wires with a volt meter and NONE read this.

i have 4 wires on the plug to my MAF

brown/red  -0.01 volts
brown/blue -0.01 volts
blue/yellow 13.41 volts
blue 0.05

can anyone help? what am i doing wrong?

lol its not the MAF im testing. its the 4 pin plug that goes onto the MAF.

anyone?

the green wire is definitely the one you need to hook up to. If the green light is on on the controller all the time it means it's sensing full boost so it's got to be the wrong wire

i just need to no what wire on the maf plug to wire it to.

Doesn't sound right that will have a look at mine tomorrow and tell you pin number mine was connected to should be same.

lol im not connecting the nozzle to the maf. im just connecting the controller to the maf because i dont have a map sensor as i have a prehistoric AGU lol

and cheers shaft69 that would be a massive help.

n e one?

surely your controller would need to know what readings/formulas the ECU uses to created boost.   AGU uses load to calculate boost required/defined in ECU.

Surely there is a boost pipe to connect to controller as every car would be different settings?  Got a link to the instruction book?

This controller has a built in 4.5Bar MAP sensor.
There you go....wire it up to boost feed (guessing its from under inlet) and it should work?

how would i do this? as there is only 5 wires on the controller. heres the diagram. sorry if the pics are crap.

just found out water meth controllers cannot be fitted to AGU 1.8T's. gutted £350 down the pan.

there is no connection for boost feed as its voltage controlled and not boost.

The boost one can, might be worth seeing if someone wants to swap

Mine is the boost controlled version, I connected mine up off the boost gauge
