morning lads,
noticed this morning that the is a audible click coming from the drivers side front wheel area when hard over right and going back, any clue as to this?
-
If its only audible on full lock and driving the car it sounds like a cv joint gone dry.
Check the boot to see if its split etc.
Otherwise the carbon canister "clicks" and is audible?
-
Stone

arent they the most annoying things in the world, you could happily be driving along and all of a sudden theres a clicking, first time that happened to me my heart broke as it had just been serviced

carbon canister is quiet as its not there anymore :lipsrsealed: could be the CV joint, how much of a ball ache is it to replace?
-
and can anyone tell me the difference between an R32 CV joint and the GTi one? are they interchangable?
-
Cv joints are easy.
Jack the car up,
Wheel off,
Hub nut off,
Pull hub from drive shaft,
Hit the joint off the shaft and replace.
Job done.
