Title: Rear seat rattle...
Post by: javalin on 05 December 2012, 17:59: Rear seat rattling between the split, sounds like the hinge/whatever is loose/worn.

Is there a quick fix for this, or .....?

Post by: tweed on 05 December 2012, 18:32: Have a look for a loose hinge. It should make a noise if its pushed down. Maybe pull them up and make sure a seat belt clip isn't hitting body

Click on "mk3 cuts out after starting" and read what I've put. Search is at top of page

Seat squabs - check under the front.

Post by: Tyce on 20 March 2015, 18:23: I have an annoying rattling or shuffling sound, coming from around the rear seats, whenever I drive over bumps. I've tracked it down to the split between the two parts of the rear seat. The sound is caused by the fabric of each half of the seat split rubbing against each other. Putting the rear armrest down stops the sound as the fabric isn't in contact any more, but I don't want to leave the arm rest down all the time. Not sure if this could be the rattle you guys are reporting too? Unfortunately, I havnt worked out how to stop the sound more permanently. Any help much appreciated!
