Anything French, agreed. Any MPV. Any Audi. Anything Korean. That narrows it down a bit!

Would buy a Vauxhall though. Do like the Astra VXR. Or an ST.

Any BMW.  I'll accept that I was unlucky with how unreliable my 335i was, but both the dealer and BMW central customer services acted like a bunch of <beeeeeeeeeep>.

Anything that's not German.

I would have said anything non VAG, but even I have been drawn towards BMW recently.

I share similar views to the previous posts so won't be choosing anything Japanese, French or anything from Vauxhall, Ford, BMW or Mercedes.

Will never buy a Ford or Vauxhall again,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,ever.

No Hybrids, No city cars, no pick ups, No Smart Cars, No Electric cars, definitely no to anything French or American, no to BMW's which is a shame as the engineering is superb but could not live with the looks and will never buy an Audi. All my mates have them and they are all c*cks.

Longer list than I first thought.

Vauxhalls and French plus FIAT are all no nos for me

Will most likely stick to either VAG or Mercedes.

Wifey likes the look of the Ford S-Max so will see how that pans out

I like the look of the new Mondeo with it's Astonish nose, but it's a Ford and that would never do.

1. Anything French but mainly PSA I spent 10 years working on them.
2. BMW 1 series, I wanted to know what all the fuss was about, all I found was off set pedals and odd styling.
3. Other BMWs, rep man specials no thanks or back street scum owned M cars no thanks.
4. Mercedes, just don't get on with them. Scrapmen, or corner shop owners Or brown shoe people.
5. VW, as local dealers are poor, cars are poorly designed from an engineering standpoint, and poorly assembled, and built to a cost with all the wrong prioritys imo.
6. Landrover as I know too many people who make lots of money off there poor reliability.
7+ Due to family involvement in motortrade its put me off.  Jeep, subaru, Volvo and Honda

Dosnt leave me much choice

VW - unless the mk7 is absolutely mind blowing and better value than the mk6. the rest of the other VW range has better SEAT/skoda alternatives.

anything positive or negative i've said about ththe car has been totally founded going from my experiences so why should i sugar coat it?

How's that A1 p3asa anygood ?

Right now I preferred the Golf if I'm honest although when I bought the Golf I'm sure I preferred my previous car before that
The Golf seemed more planted on the road whereas the A1 seems light compared to it and gives a bit of torque steer when accelerating. The panel gaps aren't that great compared to the Golf.
At £20 road tax a year, I'm sure I can get used to it.

Cars are just crazy money now.
 I will admit when you told me what you paid for yours  in my mind I heard myself say how much  :embarrassed:

Just FYI for you The reason this forum does not have a diagnosis and fix thread like the USA forums is simply because some members about a year or more now ago just wanted patting on the back and told what a brilliant choice.they.made. rather than have somethimg helpful and useful for members.who.may have had.issues. It's one of the reasons I'm always answering the same bloody questions.time and.time again.
I will admit I nearly left the forum over that.

Real shame that we haven't got the resource the MK5 specific GTi forum has, immense wealth of info on that site.

My last two GTI's both MK6 have been trouble free!

Also both had one or two tiny (2mm across) stone chips on the bonnet which you couldn't see without looking for them.

I must be lucky. Now having said that my new ED35 will probably ........ :lipsrsealed:
