Hi peeps.
I started to fit a toyosports front mount intercooler today started to take the factory fitted one out and found it has a plug that goes inyo the top of it. The new intercooler doesnt have anywhere to fix this plug to. Does actually need to stay attacthed and whats it for. And if anybody has a fitting plan for a toyosport intercooler i would b very greatful cheers.

May it be the MAP sensor plug?
-
Yep map sensor it is needed unless you get it mapped out by a tuner, or you need one of these drone forge

My bad mate, what I pictured is needed, but I'm sure I see some of the eBay kits that have the map sensor pipe with it. What size ic pipe work you running??
You can buy a flange but will have to get it welded to the pipe you have (about £18 from USA)
-
Awsome gti sell the little flanges aswell mate for £22 im just in the middle of ordering one for my toyosport front mount.
Also what engine code is your golf?if its an AUM you will need a 7mm alloy take off for the n75 valve welding on by the dv take off.
I also need this doin.proving difficult finding some1 local with an alloy welder thogh.
Mite just get rid and scrap the intercooler idea.
-
Thats great info thank u as im a welder i could solve the issue i got 2" ic pipework and yes its an aum mate thank u.

Hey cookie i saw another post in the mk4 section apparently if its an original aum it has a ko3s on it. Have a look it was only on page 2 of the mk4 section

Brilliant mate tar for that just found the thread.
So basically mine is/should be a ko3s.
So does any1 no the size of silicone needed so come off the turbo for my intercooler???
-
e-bay would have most of those pipes measured for specifics, i havent had any issue with the suppliers taking down a note of my reg and they give me all the measurements for car, no probs

you got it
you got the take off for dump valve and n75???
-
My pipe is a metal pipe and already has the dv take off on it. So im getting the correct sized silicone joiner and getting a quick tap kit for the n75 valve.
How u doin yours mate??
-
Gettin them welded on to one of the pipes, just gotta get the right drill bit then give them to a pal of mine
Sounds good pics when it's done I hope
-
My pipe is also metal and has the dv take of on it too cookie so spose il be going the same way. Rio-gti u want stainless steel drill bits really the slower u drill the better it will work and dont let the drill bit get to hot or it will just go blunt mate im a welder and use these bits all the time they work really well if used properly :-)

Think 63mm but not 100% :lipsrsealed:
Looks good mate
-
Looking good mate least i now now how it should go together sweeeet....
-
Right guys I'm getting there slowly. Ordering everything else I need today but 1 last question :
In the kit I've got they send me a straight 100mm long joiner so go onto the turbo. This was the ring size So I'm getting them to send me the correct diameter out now but my question is do I get it angled at all instead of straight??
U can see my set up pictured above. What u think??
-
straight mate, a bend would throw the rest of the pipework out :undecided:
-
missing DV or N75 't' pipe.
-
Get one welded on, simples

Im Quick tapping the n75 valve take off in to the silicone joiner coming off the turbo mate.
