Hey guys,
Is there anyone in Yorkshire that could code in cruise control onto my TDi?
I plan on buying the stalk soon, and I understand that it's just a matter of fitting it, extending the wires to a plug behind the fuse box and coding the ECU.
Regards,
Ben

You can buy a kit from VW,
I have the part number somewhere..........
-
Really?
There is a chap on eBay selling the stalk for £75 + delivery
I thought they were a lot more expensive through VW
-
Kit cost me about £80 and came with a booklet with instructions for coding in.

I bought it from a seller on ebay: http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/vw_teesside/

I've just enquired, the kits are no longer made by VW
-
Do these only work on certain engines?
When I enquired about my bora it had to have a DBW throttle and not cable.

Yeah, the TDi is DBW.
The petrol models have a servo/actuator system version of cruise control which works out very expensive to fit.
-
Hmmm, will maybe look into fitting it then if its possible.

Bump...
I've fitted the stalk, just need the ecu coding now.
madmanmart - do you have the instructions still?
