I may have a 58 plate Seat Ibiza 1.4 Sport coming in for £3800 if any use to you?
-
I already spoke about seat ibiza and leons .. But she is sticking to audi A3 or a golf mk5 ..even tho all same engines.. Women
-
Badge Snobbery
-
Yup   her freinds just brought a 52 reg a3 so its the story of She has that handbag i need to have better
-
anybody any knowledge on these engines???
-
i will sell you my audi a3 tdi 140 with 6-speed box
-
i had an a3 1.6 and although it was a lovely smart car to drive it was soooo expensive on parts and petrol, a real guzzler!! :undecided:
i got rid of mine because the radiator cracked and it was going to cost silly money to get it done, they are not the easiest to work on and the whole front end had to come off to get the radiator out!

Thats standard on a vag everything is double priced as the french and japs  i think ill try pushing her towards 2.0.. Diesel is no good barry as she drives like 4 miles to work
-
Then she needs a 1.4TDI Polo.
£4k will get her something later and with fewer miles, which will cost less to run.
-
As said bud tdi is no good she drives 4-5 miles to work. So dont see point of a tdi.. so the engines i mentioned are all a no go?? :undecided:
-
Just steer clear of anything diesel with a DPF. Horrible modern tat!
-
all the engines are allright, everything mecanical ever built has a weackness or problem tbh
i personaly dislike cam chains alltogether only reason there on engines now is because people b!tched so much about haveing to change belts, but chains can bite you in the arse just as redaly as a belt and they bite much harder. usally down to lax serviceing.
ie driveing 4 miles a day, thats horrible for engines really you shoud change the oil much more often with that sort of use but no one ever dose

Yup i figured the servicing cost is going to be more due to short city driving.. Going to see a 1.6fsi mk5 tomorow so see how it goes.. Going to just bite the bullet and for 1.6 fsi's as not getting much info on them so best try luck ourselves
-
cycle?
i would mention it but i prefer bed to the sofa

if she's only doing a ten mile round trip everyday, then a little 1400 petrol polo or 1600 golf is your best bet. cheaper to fix and service. diesels only come into their own after like 15-20k miles.

I know bud not loking at diesels do not know why everybody is banging on about them
Seen a mk5 1.6 fsi. Engine sounded but fooked and service history was missing so walked away. Going to see a few more through the weekend

my missus has a 1.6 toyota corrolla. its a pukka car, decent enough amount of power and well worthy of a remap. averages 38-40mpg around town. totally bulletproof. full longlife service is usually around 150 donks and it drives like a dream.

I doubt it's any less enthralling than a 1.6fsi.....
-
How about a moped, my missus best friend has one and it cracks me up watching her wobble off down the road every night..

agreed i love the corollas very dull interior but the drive is awesome.. my sister has one.. i drove around for a week and was a joy very fuel efficent too..but the gf is stuck on mk5 or a3. a3 seem to be a lot more expensive yet they are the same reg and same engine hmm... seems like audi badge has more of "statement" nowadays :lipsrsealed:
