Post by: aj1soad on 23 August 2012, 20:09
im having a bit of trouble with my fan/blower. it doesnt work at all. checked the fuse and its ok. also checked the motor itself and thats fine 2. another strange thing is when ive got my headlights on and my dash lights up, when i put the fan on one of the speeds the dash lights on the fan switches only go off. any ideas?

ive managed to get my fan working now so i thought id give an update incase anyone else gets the same problem.
fault was none of the speeds would work. in the end i got a multimeter to check if there was any live going to all the parts and there was. i tested the resistor out in my mates car and that worked. i also connected the fan up straight to a 12v supply and the fan was working. in the end the problem was a faulty ground cable. so if anyone ever gets the same problem, check your fuse and then your ground cable:)
