im having an oil change done this weekend as the car has never had one whilst ive owned it
but whilst im at it, im getting the sump resealed as well as ive got a leak
question is, is it a gasket or sealant?
cheers
-
No gasket on the sump just sealant, iirc its almost £20 a tube
-
Get the pick up pipe done at the same time as the sump is coming off

:afro: well worth doing, only going to cost around £12 in parts and could save your engine in the long run.
-
sorry for dumb question but what do you mean pick up pipe?
thanks
-
in the sump there is an oil pickup pipe its got a filter on it that can get blocked and starve the engine of oil resulting in a seized engine etc so worth getting it changed while the sump is off
