Cut a few inches off the end of the pipe then you shouldn't have any problems with water getting sucked up. My filter sits just under the headlight bracket.

Well normal rain puddles are fine, but we have all been at the point where a road has been pretty flooded and has a few inches of rain across the whole road. And there's no turning round... When I first fitted mine, it sat just at the bottom of the bumper, and I am lowered a lot, so about 3 inches off the ground. Better safe than sorry eh?

There was a guy on here who went through a deepish one and sucked up water and his engine got hydro locked.

Chop a few inches off the end if you are worried, makes sense. And us guys love chopping things

I still have seen so many mixed reviews about what to use, most people stay standard, seen loads with just the uprated filter bolted on to the end of the MAF and then seen loads of custom jobs.

At the end of the day you only change from the original for the noise from the DV any other gains are questionable from what I have read
