For upto 300bhp what would be better/ easier to fit
Any advice welcom!!!
-
Ask Toby. 4bpfp should do it IIRC.
-
Iv got. Walbro - woundnt bother tbh.
Seat leon fr is direct fit/s3 something needs blocking off.
Changing mine to a s3 one soon.
Mines running 3 bar fpr
-
Why not with the Walbro, bro?
-
walbro 255lph is way to much hassle to fit to a in tank pump, what about a in-line Fuel pump
-
Pulls in air
-
so then, is it the s3 pump or leon then.... if the leon is a direct replacement.......

It aint to much hassle to fit in it the fuel tank just got to make sure you make the hole smaller on the swirl pot to the fuel cant get away to fast!

On the s3 the second pick up needs blocking off because they have two pick ups as a result of their different fuel tank.
Also the fuel pump you want is an lcr fuel pump.
In addition, an inline pump doesn't pull air through - no more than your standard pump would because your standard pump will serve as a feed for the inline pump.
You can also modify the swirl pot relatively easily, there's a guide that goes into more detail on here. It works pretty well I might add.

so what your saying is i dont want the s3 pump as it needs a small ammount of modding what i need is the lcr one for a direct fit? (as i think i can get hold of an s3 one)
do they pump the same pressure? (ps i dont know if i will be using a 3 or 4 bar fpr)

plus you can use a fuel pump from a auq 180 seat leon part number 8L0919051B or 8L0919051H they are also 4bar

I went through all the ones breaking on ebay and messaged them, took about 3 months of this to finally find one, they seem to sell very quickly.
Look to pay around £50 delivered.
-
cheers for the advice
-
has anyone got the correct part no of the LCR one??
cheers!!!
-
have a look on the previous page i put therm up.
-
BLIND!!!! thanks
-
does it matter how many miles are on it??
-
id say so yes.
-
what should i go for max?? 80k??
can get one but its off 150k :undecided:
-
id dont no for sure but if i was looking for a fuel pump id buy new as people tend to lie about the mileage it covered. there £210 from eurocar parts then take off the forum discount 25% = £157.50

Thats why I went for a walbro brand new for like £50-60 and as long as you follow the guide on how to fit them they work fine and you know there not knackered.
