Last Friday on the way back from getting my tracking done there was a huge bang under the car i stopped and walked back down the road to find this. i assumed i must of ran over it and it hit the bottom of my car.

Today on the way home from shopping again a big bang under my car, but the road was clear and i stopped walked back down the road to find this. The both slot together like a puzzle.

What are the chances the garage left them attached to my car after doing the tracking? its a 18mm socket :-/ or am i just really unlucky?

Very good chance they did leave it there but not sure why they would need an 18mm socket to do the tracking. Were they doing the camber? Just keep it and add it to your tool collection :wink:

Yh I was gunna say must of done camber too using an 18mm

they must have done the camber aswell then as they are 18mm bolts. as said already. keep them. will be good quality from a garage :grin:

i'm worried iv got a leak now tho it hit the car pretty bad and really loud to. i'm wondering do i go back and complain and ask them to take a look if there is any more under there :-/

I wouldn't worry about the loud noise it made. Just wait till abiggish stone goes under your lowered car at speed, that fecker will make you jump!

LOL this was meant to be a top garage in my area aswell.

Car should be fine mate, something smashes off the bottom of mine every day (or the bottom of my car smashes off the road everyday), always makes me look in the mirror and expect to see oil all over the shop...

The two bolts holding the shock to the hub are what adjusts front camber. Bet there is an 18mm spanner still there :grin:

:grin:, they adjust the camber by undoing the to bolts at the bottom of the strut and pullin/pushing the disc, probably more technical then that tho :laugh:

I would be getting the work the garage did, double checked? What type of numb nuts leaves his tools still attached to the job and letting you drive off! Very unprofessional in my opinion.

When i was in the trade(long time ago)i stripped the carpet out of this old mini,i found a 7/16 spanner still attached to a subframe bolt,it had been there for over three years,was able to complete the bosses set that hung on the wall :laugh:

Impact sockets too, sweet find!! Lmao, I assume they got stuck on the nut As they tightened an they've not noticed when they pulled off the socket :grin:
