Hi All,
Been looking at the goodridge hose kits for my mk3 i was just wondering how do i know if i have 4 or 6 lines on my car?

4 hoses for rear drum set up, 6 for rear disc set up ie.GTI & VR6

i was thinking about these for mine spoke to a mate who makes brake lines all the time and he almost spat at me i thought they were realy good but he says he can do loads better for cheaper does anybody have any ????????????

na 6 line kit is for ABS cars
mine has no ABS and mine is 4 lines however mine are all custom made ones by HEL as I'm running Audi S3 brakes upfront and MK4 golf rear callipers
mine are the Carbon ones the red ones i had made up for ben

they are a very very worthy mod..
even if you just did the fronts.. I only did the rears as i was fitting MK4 rear callipers and they have a different fitting.. so i had the pipes made up to match my fronts

You will need at least 17" wheels then.
And then, only some 17" wheels clear the R32 front brakes...mostly 18s required.

If R32 is the same as the Cupra R set up then 17"s tend to need spacers from the threads I have seen.

no mate different slightly bigger
must be to help stop all the weight of the R32 (slow cars IMO)
the 312 upgrade is more than enough especially when you use a decent pad.. forget fancy looking discs too, OEM plain ones are the best

Standard Cupra (180bhp) is 312mm same as Octavia vRS, Cupra R has the Brembo set up with 323mm brakes

Ah of course, I remember seeing the red Brembo calipers on the 'R's now.

R32 and TT 3.2 V6.. and Audi A3 3.2v6 use 334mm fronts
Cupra R is 323mm
Audi S3, TT 225 bhp, Golf 4mo, VRs Octy, Golf GTI AUQ 180 bhp and Leon Cupra 180 bhp is 312mm
312mm just fit behind 16". and very powerfull braking on the lighter mk3 shell.
You would need the 6mm spacers to make the calipers fit. we made mine as a 1 piece spacer.. as per pics in my build thread

Il be sticking some 312mm discs on mine within the next month or so, even though my current 288mm set up is still looking quite fresh it's never filled me with confidence on heavy braking. Could be down to crap pads but I'd rather just change the lot in one go.

312s it is then dont want to go bigger than 16s realy got a set on new 288s on at the min so will be a while before i do this :grin:
