I can see him buying a diesel Skoda.
Actually that Touran is quite tempting!
Nick
do you have any limits on how old the car can be etc as they are paying the allowance?
would it not be easier to spank the allowance on a cheap lease car?

Looks like it's been well looked after. Nice find...
However I can't help but think it's not a trailer your need, I'd say a caravan would be more fitting. Have you also got the required driving gloves and pipe that are essential for driving these?

You missed 'flat cap'.
Nick, you can make what excuses you want about how it's been this and it's been that.
It's still an old man's car.

Shut it vectra boy!
Will go out and get some in a bit with the proper camera. Proper love it though, a right wafty barge and managed 45 mpg on the way back despite cruising at quite a few leptons.
Nick
Looks a great buy Nick :afro: it has even got me looking at them as the next car choice.
55.4 mpg average for my journey to work this morning.
Ordered some new badges, pressed plates and thinking about a diesel tuning box for more ponies.
Nick
Are these not remapable? If it's a beemer lump underneath won't that be the better option?
how many cars do you have now
looks nice mate
As long as you're happy with it and don't mind the ribbing  just had a look and the insurance on them is bloody cheap! *ahem* only looked as Kerry will need a car soon, with both of us on the policy it's cheaper than just me on the Passat V5 :lipsrsealed:
Wish Guy was a bit closer to Manchester
Living closer isn't much better, the man is in demand and there's a queue
With that much car, how much did it cost for the full treatment?
Hey Nick, perfect car for you tonight on NEW Wheeler Dealers, they buying a Morgan.
IT's surely the barsteward love child of your MX5 and your Rover.
21.00 on Discovery Channel.

IT"S AN MG!!!!!!!
Living closer isn't much better, the man is in demand and there's a queue
It's massive - I've been waiting for him to come down and sort the Passat for about two years now.
You're in a different country!!
It was designed by Rover and then rebadged as an MG!
rover rover rover rover rover
It was designed by Rover and then rebadged as an MG!
Wrong, it was designed by BMW who at the later stages switched it to fwd so as not to harm sales of the 5 series also as Nick said they did a lot more than rebadge it as a MG.
Ive been offered a 2.5 V6 190 ZT for a reasonable price and Im really tempted after seeing the pics of this!
^^Well the plot thickens, when they did the V8 version it needed so little work to convert to rwd, something does not seem right it even has a transmission tunnel.
It was designed by Rover and then rebadged as an MG!
oooh how about a nice cup of FAIL Len?

Whoever designed it or owned the company at the time doesnt really matter.
The main minus factor with this car now is the fact that the company that built it no longer exists!
Its a Dodo car!
I do believe the FAIL is on you Guy! :smug:

I think you'll find MG is still a going concerning and is designing and building cars in a small place called Birmingham in the midlands in a little known factory called Longbridge. I think you'll also find they are entering 2 works cars in the BTCC this year with multiple champion Jason Plato piloting one of them.

I've seen the new MG6 around Oxford a number of times. Looks a bit like an Astra hashed Mazda3, on my quick glances at it.
had an estate 75 in today, it has HUGE chrome wing mirrors, automatically thought of you

I had to switch from phone to laptop to comment on this car. Saw it at POL and still remember it now - stunning.
You've really done her proud
Hi there Nick. Your ZT must have been the shiniest there, plus I adore the colour. I hunted for a ZT Tourer in that colour, but couldn't find one in the right spec.
Is that a wake you attended Nick?
Just a heads up for Guy. I've had 2 PM's on the MG forums and a very positive comment on Pistonheads about the ZT being the shiniest one at Pride of Longbridge (there were about 100 there as well!). Good work that man!QuoteI had to switch from phone to laptop to comment on this car. Saw it at POL and still remember it now - stunning.

They're paying you too much
I saw you driving in this morning in a Bentley.
elderly parking?
Like! Will get downloading some Chap-hop asap. I'll have to find out if there's any Surrey/Hampshire Chap-hop battles and rivalry.
Nick
Due a service in 1,500 miles and probably a new pair of front tyres in the next 5K.
To be honest the longer I have it, the more I am attracted to stringback gloves and Werthers.
Beautiful car mate i do have a soft spot for mgs !
not bad all things considered, :afro: and compared to waynes :lipsrsealed: all good
Yeah it's not too bad. £150ish for the bits plus a day of swearing.
Had a chat with a couple of boys on the mg forums and in 300 + clutch changes they'd only seen 1 DMF needing replacement. I will check it but they reckon they're good for 200k unless utterly a utterly abused. I'll be changing the CSC as well.
Spotted this on flickr, looks nice.
What happened to the 3 series idea and economy?
