Title: gear change at high rpm
Post by: golfyste on 13 March 2012, 19:34
Ok so the probelm is when im at high rpm (near the red) and try change gear i go to push it in and it just won't go until the revs have dropped a little which i think will be a problem after a map and i try taking it up the strip.

i have put a polybush dogbone in and also aligned the gear linkages, is there anything else i can do??

cheers people

The only time mine ever missed a beat on gear changes was right after the G60 was done, dont think its a coincidence you did the gear linkage adjustment, re do the gear linkage adjustment again just to make sure

Think this may be what is causing my shifting issues

Anyone know where i can get a replacement and how much they are or am I better getting one off someone breaking?

Yeah Mate, it's still holding as in you can't rock the engine my hand but I'm sure this is what's causing my gear change so just gonna have to take it easy.

I don't really know. I know wheel spinning etc can cause it but I don't tend to as tires are expensive haha

What are your new ones, THS? Judging the angle of one pictured, it doesn't look like they are much stiffer
Title: Re: gear change at high rpm
Post by: golfyste on 29 March 2012, 08:11
Yeah thy are ths

They are a lot stiffer the part that is angled is the part that pivots on a axis not the part that attached to the rubber.

I compared by putting my weight on then I could get a fair bit of movement in the old mount with it squeaking etc and on the new ones I couldn't get it to budge
