Having a Bellend shaped recruitment on the 26th.
Moving from London/Kent to Kent.
Not too sure what I'm going to prefer, seems to be a lot more dickheads round Maidstone etc but then where I'll be actually living is quiet as aposed to having all the knobheads on my road etc.
Ah well. Gonna be awesome and have my own garage which is getting ripped straight down and rebuilt bigger.
-
Is that even further away from Wales then?
-
Welcome to the garden, do wipe your feet on the way in, I would not like our swans to have footprints on their backs.
-
Is that even further away from Wales then?
Yup.
Jack, what are the Police like round there?
Seems to be a billion traffic cops round. :undecided:
-
They're very fair and have a good memory!
-
Where are you moving to?
-
Halling.
West Malling is pretty nice. Snodland in the other direction however................... isn't. :lipsrsealed:

C@nts compared to the met, expect them to r@pe you. Also where aboot in kent you heading, and you do realise the medway towns are sh!te? Yet property value is good in comparison to greater london.

Haha. Ah yes of course, West Malling is further up past Larkfield and not quite Maidstone isn't it? I know how to get places just need to map them all out in my head! Kings Hill is pretty nice and not too far away.

Ah really? Have to admit I got pulled when my car was far from legal for speeding. Genuine mistake thought it was 40. Had four officers searching the car outside and even though one was underneath on the exhaust, they seemed to miss the fact it was tied on with welding rods, it had no indicators at the front and the exhaust blowing like mad.
But I can see me getting stopped and checked a lot which I've had with the Met but they literally seem to say "You're young" and check insurance and then just let me on my way or breathalize me. Hope it won't be stop and check every day on the way to work.
Never had any issues with Met or Kent with either the Micra or Skoda so they're obviously very hot on modified cars. Probably because of the huge meet ups in the City Estate etc.
-
We would get pulled every night we went out in Dartford :lipsrsealed: One friends car even got stripped on the roadside because the pohleece said they could smell dope in the car... he didn't even smoke  Still as long as we didn't mouth off to them they were ok.
-
Kent police once they pulled you they are very bored creatures and will start looking for any gremlin they can find. Met will just go ah well... I've had my keys taken off me by the sergeant at Bexleyheath, had a chat, got car back and was on my way. Kent just don't do that, they seem to be a thorn in the back side from my experiences from driving sensibly, to a night out to them at work.
I did a lot of work with them when I was a technician/engineer in electronics as we played a major roll in supplying/manufacturing a particular control panel. Then you have a very bored traffic officer at bluewater who seems to be after a promotion. The majority of them on a night out are jobs worth, like I was in my car taking a few friends home, a friend jumped in mucking around, but I wouldn't drive with him in it as the passengers would of outnumbered the seats, you could clearly tell I wasn't going to drive. The officer got me out the car and started giving it about how he will start finding faults in the car and impound it... Now I work for the courts and they are still jobs worth. Give me Met police any day over them wayne kerrs
Yet the Kent police are the most equipped police force in the country and the first ones to get the new gear to test it out, plus they can be stationed anywhere unlike in the met where more or less you are just stationed in one place. The good news is, if your down dungeoness and you see there's 6 police officers in the cafe, you are safe to speed

That's because they're not police, they're CNC (civil nuclear constabulary).
There's an interesting story that happened about 9 weeks ago where a bunch of travellers from Lydd had broken into the power station grounds by cutting a hole in the fence.
They drove there van down through the hole and parked it outside one of the warehouses and started loading it up with copper.
As they drove back to the hole, their van became stuck in the shingle so they cut their losses and left on foot.
As they were wandering up the approach road they were spotted by the CNC who asked them what they were doing.
They said they'd gone for a pint at The Pilot and were struggling to find their way back to Lydd.
The CNC offered them a lift home and dropped them at the pub in Lydd.
SO. They run back to their camp and grab a 4x4 to try and pull the transit van out.
Only then were they spotted by a dog walker and the actual police were called who turned up and arrested them.

Used to carry a socket set to put my Escort back together after such incidents, never found anything except rizla :lipsrsealed:

They where kent police not the nuclear constabulary, then you have the RAF police and the military police, or white/red caps. Transport police, then there's a few others, did have a list somewhere as I was on the waiting list for the RAF police, till cameron came along :lipsrsealed:

Nice. Looking forward to this then.
Heard a fair bit about Bluewater, I've never had any run ins with them even after a mate took my car for a spin and started driving it like a complete and utter dickhead. Safe to say the keys don't stay with him or anyone anymore.
Only time I've ever seen a Police car there was when a mate was taking me from the cinema car park to the bus stops and didn't have his lights on. Only trouble was there was my two mates in the front and I'm hiding in the back cause it was only to the bus stop.
Mate's were bricking it and as they pulled up alongside I was ready to jump out but they just said where's your lights etc and sent us on our way, they didn't get out luckily.

Chances are if they were in the Dungeness cafe they were CNC ;) same uniform and markings on their cars.
That's where they have team meetings.

Didn't realize they used the same cars, I'll behave next time I go fishing down Hythe  Your not an officer of the above topics?

Haha! Nah, my old man is the B plant manager and my whole family work down there unsurprisingly!
-
Is it true the Police dissapear after Ashford?
Guy I bought the GTI off Saturday was saying they seem to be non exsistant in Folkestone. When we broke down getting there, there was one Highways officer who said he was going to Folkestone then turning round. Saw him on the last bit of the journey there so quickly got on the road behind him and went all the way back and didn't see a single police car til Swanley.

Ah fair enough, care to complain to them for me about two things?
1) Since we now have a hose pipe ban in place shortly, can they not reuse the heat of the power plant to refine sea water, like they do with cruise liners by using the heat of the generators, rather than giving free heat to the marine life when the sea life clearly refuse to pay for it via any means?
2) Can they allow tours/visits to the power station

Not a clue, I know the met and S/E traffic police turn around at the m25 junction along the A2, so you have a small area between dartford and the m25 which you will and can see both kent and met vehicles.

Pretty much...

1) Those damn freeloading marine dwellers! The sea water is used for cooling at the moment in a big loop, in one end, out the other slightly warmer.
Fortunately it never gets hot enough to actually refine the water.
2) They have done in the past but it's strictly no photography. There have been two people allowed to take in the past and they published their pictures in heavily edited books.
-
Tell me about them marine dwellers, sitting there nice and warm. wouldn't be surprised if they recieve JSA as well!
Any chance they will allow visiting in the near future or is it looking unlikely?

Kent old bill are bell ends

Why are you so bothered by the police?
If you do something wrong, you may get nicked, if you abide by the law, you won't.
FWIW: I have only been pulled once up near Dartford Crossing but never around the areas you're mentioning.

Problem with Kent is they have too much time, as in they will pull you up for a blown light followed by a 1hr investigation where as the met won't bother

As I've said I've only ever been pulled once and that's it's all the cars I've owned
