Yeah must have cost sh*t loads getting that done, must be pretty rapid tho!
-
I'm waiting for kells to come in saying his is better

Lol.
You wouldn't claim to have that under the bonnet and then not put a pic of the engine in the add.
-
Hmmm I don't believe it :undecided:
-
i call bullsh1t. that car must have been on a dyno at some point so the owner knows exactly what power it's putting out yet still only gives an approximate figure.
-

Yeah defo that would be the first picture!

321 bhp from a KO4. wonder how much happy gas it was been fed at the time
-
Cannot see that making anywhere near 321bhp.
-
ibanezdan from ukmkivs had a hybrid k04 on his quattro golf and pretty sure he maxed it out and just got 300bhp
-
Regardless of the claims, It's a lazy ad and I hate that!
-
Bollox, My LCR had a bigger spec than that an still only had 300
-
not in a million years! if that's 321 bhp then my standard 160k fvcked 2.0 8v is pushing out 200 bhp! and if claiming an "about" figure you'd surely say 320 as a nice round number, not 321, or that just me? he has just pulled a number out his ars3!
-
I don't beleive it (http://www.collegefun4u.com/track.php?u=4)
-
it is possible to get that sort of power out of a KO4 charge engine it just need help. about 50 or 60 bhp shot of happy gas / nitrus dose the trick  without not a hope in hell
-
There's pics of the bay up now, not as clean as some of the 1.8t conversions on here :lipsrsealed:
-
hmmmm. i though if you were selling you would have a clean engine bay so it looks like you've cared for the car.
-
And a dyno print out, would get a lot more interest then! Or just show that it's probs only running 180/200bhp
-
which s3 engine is it, cos arnt they 210bhp or 225bhp standard?
-
I like the wheels tho
-
321bhp = dreamer, engine looks shabby, silicone hose sat on top of the charge pipe, nice! Looks sh!t too, wouldn't give the steam off my piss for it
-

Yes early ones were 210 then 225bhp.
That engine bay is a mess as well.

Agreed the power figure is unrealistic and the engine bay is a mess. The car has potential, just not at £2k+

This is the one my carbon mapped beast smoked
Side by side battle as I mentioned in my dub ride thread
The car is pretty rough and the conversion is scruffy.. The owner wanted 4.5k for it and it was him that did the conversion not dubsport lol

Haha, so you have forced him to sell it
-
He was already selling it as he has a "400 BHP" 20vt mk 2 he just got. I have seen it an that looks tatty too
He also has 2 x S3's one of which is a MTM turbo version 330bhp and he is selling that also (5k) again pretty tatty
He breaks a lot of S3's. Has a sh!t load of parts but wants silly money and everything looks scruffy lol
-
As eny fule kno BHP figures are entirely based on how clean a car is.
While I'm not saying this particular example has 321bhp, assessing a car's power output on whether it is clean and pretty is a particularly facile view.

TRUE DAT! :D That's why most people would first compare my car, in terms of bhp, to that of a lawnmower.
I don't think its that bad lol. Just cause he hasn't painted/cleaned any parts doesn't mean it don't work properly. I dont agree with the power output though; reading the ad, I'd wouldn't say it was over 300bhp.
-
Any fool knows I never said the cleanliness played a part in its BHP figure but I think it plays a part in how much money someone should command for a car
This car looks like rs been thrown together.. Iv had a very good look around it unlike anyone on here. Infact I'll be seeing the owner on the weekend do I can get more pics if you want LOL
What I do know tho is my car which has less than 300 BHP is a lot quicker than this particular example
It's all about the torque curve and mine is running a superb map
His car has a emerald ECU with he hybrid.. It was not as nice a drive as what mine is either ( yes I drove it)
Testiment to nick and Craig at carbon for the fantastic work they did on mine
-
Forgot to mention
He has print out confirming the BHP, granted I don't know how accurate the rolling road was that it was tested on..
I dont think it's 320 BHP personally
-
I'd want a pretty tidy car for 4.5k, Mk3 20vt or not.
If it looks shabby I would deffo be worried about its reliability/quality , whether its justified or not I am a first impressions person when I am buying something for 4k
-
I agree totally
4k is a lot of cash. I know I have OCD when it comes to engines but this just looks a messy job
You dont have I have a clean engine to at least look tidy
Inside the car was no better, dials loose, boost gauge left dangling etc
-
No excuse for loose gauges if you have a roll of duct tape or some string and a drill.

BHP sells car, torque wins races.
What bhp do you think you'd get from the 225BAM engine with a stage map?

245 to 260 ish in genuine figures
280 in ball bag figures
