Title: Just been informed about this - OIL FILTER
Post by: Dave_IOW on 12 January 2012, 18:03: Don't know if you guys know already but i didn't, so maybe you lot haven't seen this before either.

Standard oil filter on right

Uprated oil filter, left.

Holds 0.4 litres more oil, and supposedly a better filter inside.

Standard part number - 06A 115 561
Uprated part number - 068 115 561

I believe so Rich, i know its a straight fit.

Also used on some A4's i think.

Post by: topher on 12 January 2012, 21:41: yeah they scrub on the aircon hose, or might be the PAS.. can't picture it in my head atm, and one of the wires (knock sensor i think, cant recall)

Standard on the right, middle two are the optional filter and the B6 1.8t option and then on the left its the transporter filter.

Post by: Yohan on 22 February 2012, 14:17: Went for the larger filter on my one as well (S3 engine in a Bora) and it fits perfectly.

Whether or not it makes a difference who knows but it can't hurt.
