must have heard about the frogs dodgy implants on the news, how they are paying for them to be replaced.
now all the false titted women in this country with them think our government should pay for theirs to be changed.
I think NOT, you paid for them, you pay for them to be removed
and discuss . . . . . . . . . .

That's a bit similar to a car company asking for you to pay for the engine to be removed when they have a recall for a badly designed part.
Isn't it.

why not? most people in hospitals sufferings are self inficted anyway. the government should be demanding payment from these corporations that suppied the dodgy implants. using industrial silicone instead of medical to save money.
-
no idea what you guys are on about. news is for chumps. and chuffs
dodgy silicone implants, boobies exploding
-
i love Lamp
Now We know.
-
I'll take one. I can buy just one right?
-
i dont mind paying for them... providing all women are happy to sign a declaration stating they are all "MINE"

So the private hospitals who fitted the implants should remove them at their own cost.
If the NHS fitted the implants they should have to pay.
The NHS shouldnt pay to remove the private hospitals!

And no.
Its like VW asking the government to fix the design problem at the governments cost
-
If the women who have the implants get sick from their leaking implants then the nhs will have to pick the bill anyway.
:undecided: Just like it does for the people who are stupid enough to smoke.

Perhaps I wasn't specific enough. Perhaps I should have said part made by a supplier to VW.
There you go. Clear.
From the BBC website:
"The NHS will cover the costs for women who had the implants fitted by the health service and who are anxious to have them removed, it added."
"The NHS will also remove the implants if the private clinic no longer exists or refuses the patient."
Would would you have them do? Let the women die / get cancer etc..
-
In that case VW then chase the part supplier for the cost of changing the part.
If the NHS has to remove a private clinic patients implants then the government should make the private clinic pay for it.
-
Jon has said it, on principle I agree with Chuff and Steve but what are you gonna do let them women die or suffer?
Funny thing NHS its been working far longer than private health business NOT clinics as I call them, and the ironic situation is they are going back to an organisation where doctors and surgons work in both sectors
I think some sort of contribution should be made by the paitent and be means tested on income if they can pay or not?

Couldn't agree more
-
surly they would be covered under warranty wouldn't they?
-
The private clinics should be made to pay, if they wont for whatever reason i.e. they've gone bust then it's down to the NHS to take care of it. That's what the NHS does.
It's no different from a tattoo going bad or someone being treated for a smoking related illness.
Self-inflicted but we can't just leave them to die.

what did these women think was in then? medical grade or not, they wanted to put crap in their body. you saved up/took loans out so you could shove in peoples face, do the same to remove the foreign body
-
Question is Chuff, are you gonna get yours removed?

Bang out of order, What about people who have had cancer and had breast replacement!! Don't go making out that just because they have implants that they go around flaunting them...
There was a woman on the news who carried out all the right checks, the surgeon cut one open in front of her and showed her how it wouldn't leak even if it broke and then when they came to surgery she had an implant from a different company installed, the said dodgy company, which then did leak...
-
they shouldn't have bought the cheapest french crap in the first place

Those who paid to have them done (a very high percentage) should pay to have them replaced, or just removed.
It is unfortunate that the company who made them have ceased trading (handy, eh), but then how long is the warrantee on tits?
Those who had them fitted by the NHS as a result of a masectomy or similar should have the replacement paid for, in my view.

Wish NHS do my double glazing they went Bust, no pun intended.
-
I'm afraid I have no sympathy for these women who chose to have implants - they decided to have that crap in there, their problem. I think whatever clinic they had it done at should remove them if that's what is deemed necessary.
I think the only exception should be for women who have had reconstructive surgery under the NHS, then the NHS should deal with it.
There was a woman on telly the other day who said she had a lot of health problems due to a leaking implant. The NHS had agreed to remove one (presumably the one that was leaking) but she had refused because she didn't want to be lop sided - so she put her looks before her health when she had them stuck in there, and even though she says she can barely do anything and is housebound etc due to the implant, STILL putting her looks before her health by refusing to have one taken out! Can't understand that at all. I'd rather look like a freak and not be ill if it were me, and save up to have the other removed myself.

Unfortunately the only way you're guaranteed to be bailed out is if you're a banker :lipsrsealed:

Haha, you sound like what some guy did at work, window company rang up so he kept them on the phone for ages telling them measurements of the windows, the prices etc... just to tell the salesman at the end "do you think the council would pay for these"
