Not legal for road use and an easy pull from the rozzers.

Any place doing show plates on the internet should be able to sort you out though.

As said, there's a shed load of show plate makers online who cater for different sizes, I had to use one to get a US size rear plate made to fit a mustang..... a while ago now so can't remember who it was.

It's also not to hard to trim down a normal plate once made..

However, not legal so done at your own risk especially if you go quite extreme.

Here's the basics on plates and the law

No worries, also here is a site that does 3/4 size front plates amongst other things.

http://www.fancyplates.com/index.html

Plenty of other sites do the same and more i'm sure.

True, however I never ever got pulled up once in the month I had no front plate on. Only once for speeding and I just showed them the cracked front plate with the tape on it and explained it fell off the fresh paint work earlier in the day.

No points for a smaller plate...  Do yourself a favour if you do it though, make sure your font, spacing etc is legal.  Otherwise you really will be asking for attention.

No points, however after being caught twice I believe they can apply to have your reg removed.

Only if it's a private plate though surely?

No, I believe they can do it on a standard reg and you end up with a Q plate.

Never ever heard that one!... I thought a Q was purely for a car that's true identity is questionable, foreign, or proof of age is an issue.

I believe that is what can happen, when I was fined the 2nd time for german plates he did tell me it was my last chance.

Well he told me they can get the reg removed but as I said I have never confirmed if that is correct, I would guess that they would only do it on private regs but not sure. :undecided:

Need to ask a copper i think to clear it up.

But im sure it depends on which copper you ask

Fook what a copper would say for the reason you just posted.

Mess about with private plates and ignore warnings and fines I'm sure they have a right to take it off you, other than that.............?

Try A1 Show Plates. Always been good when I wanted a small (12" x 3") plate for my Scooby or Skyline.
