Hello people, can anyone help on here, I need an ECU refurbed or exchanged, ford want £1200 for one an I think that's a rip for a car that's worth that anyway!
So any recommendations?
Thanks

a quick google brings up loads of companies such as this... http://www.ecu-repairs.com/ (http://www.ecu-repairs.com/)
but its difficult to know which ones are any good and which aren't a rip orf :undecided:

Try Small Ford Centre in Gillingham, I know it's a mission but if they've got one I can post it etc

These seem a good setup. Ive been to their factory at cannock wood staffs once or twice. I also Know they repair K-JET systems
You can search ECU's on their web site:

Any more info on the ecu fault, and ecu type?

Any more info on the ecu fault, and ecu type?
Its from a 2002 ford focus, its a siemens unit and the faults are all electrical, No indicators, Hazards, Fogs, heated windscreen, rear screen, wipers.
Its my gf's grandads car and an auto electrician has said he's 99% the ECU is the fault.

BAA Ramen in kent, they do all sorts off ECU repairs and other electronic car components, only know as I had an interview with them once.

Strange one? Take an ecu out of most cars and all the electrical, indicators, Hazards, Fogs, heated windscreen, rear screen, wipers will still work.
I dont THINK the 2002 Focus ecu would have been can bus, so would only control the engine. I maybe wrong?
Send me all the car information and I will have a look at my Ford tech ecu guides and see if there is a switched AUX +12v out feed, if there is then you can bypass it with a switch our ignition AUX feed to see if you can get every thing working
