Went for a bit of a trip tonight after Nicky got home from work to have a look at this.
Bit of a bargain and seems a good solid car, just in need of some tidying up really.
Heres it back home (sorry for the crappy night/rainy pics)

Will get some better/daylight pictures tomorrow

Glad you made back OK Daz.

looks nice mate any plans
-
Cheers mate.
Yeh many plans :wink:just dont know how quickly they will happen.
First plans are to decide what to do about the colour of the thing as this will affect what bits i keep and what bits i sell on.
The car was advertised as Indigo Blue, which is the same as my other mk4 which would have made things really easy to swap bits over if and when i wanted to.
This car isnt indigo blue though  its actually pearl blue. It did look like indigo when i looked at it but as soon as it was on the drive next to my other one the next day the colour difference is obvious
Not to worry, it still seems a good car for the money. My options now are wether to do what bodywork i need to do then get it blown over in indigo blue to match the other meaning i can then swap bits over like bumpers and bootlids.
OR
I paint it the colour ive wanted to paint for quite a while but would mean i will then have to store in my garage safely spare front & rear bumpers and bootlid for when i fancy a change.
The other car i have is currently used as a daily driver by my wife but i take it to shows. I feel the 2 different uses dont mix too well hence getting this one as a pure showcar.
Watch this space to see what i decide to do colour wise.
Firstly though its going to be get Audi A6 handles welded into the doors, Audi TT filler cap welded on, Roof aerial removed along with the silly phone aerial thats been drilled into the roof at the front. Then decide on paint so got time yet.

Not updates this for a bit.
Couple of weeks ago when the weather was nice i rolled both cars onto the road to get a few pics side by side.
Washed them both the day before so they were looking clean at least.
Then i got stuck in removing the roof liner and trims
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSC_5889.jpg)
Removed the aerial that had been fitted to the front of the roof
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSC_5898.jpg)
And found this in the roof lining at the rear. Wondering if the car has had a nav head unit at some point?
So chuffed i managed to get these sun visor clips off without breaking them on this car
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSC_5903.jpg)
And all the bits ready to be trimmed/painted
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSC_5899.jpg)
Last weekend the weather wasnt too bad so decided to do a little bit on the car.
One thing i always planned on doing was getting rid of the side repeaters, so i made up some metal pieces to fit in the hole left on the wing and proceeded to weld them up, my welding isnt the best
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSC_6058.jpg)
Also did the hole left from removing the phone aerial
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSC_6061.jpg)
Then the next day got some filler on there before it got too late and my tea was calling
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSC_6087.jpg)
Still not finished yet but its slowly getting there, needs a bit more flatting and filler to shape.
Also had some bargains come up recently, the main one being this
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSC_6108.jpg)
Been after one of these since i started modding the Diesel, however this isnt going to get fitted in there. Got some genuine R32 inside trims on the way too.
Also got these for a bargain off ebay
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSC_6022.jpg)
So when i can be bothered one night i will flat them down and give them a few light coats.
Also this arrived through my door last week
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSC_6110.jpg)
Got the other side on its way too, just dont know what the guy is playing at that is supposed to be sending it.
Just need to swap them over to mk4 golf bases.
-
The aerial will be for a phone kit.
Good progress
What are you planning for side indicators for the mot.
-
Mate love the original one and like what your doing with the new one, question is, if you wanted to have one for show and one for daily, why didnt you just give your missus the new one?
Going to be better without the extra doors though :afro:

Well........
Wife works at a dealers and the MOT tester is a top bloke
Also the phone aerial was at the front of the roof yet that lead i found was near the back near the bee sting aerial

Cheers mate.
I love the original one, and even though ive given it to Nicky im sort of reluctant to take anything off it as i like how it looks. Therefore im buying new R32 pedals for this one, depending how i can save i will get air for this and leave the coilies on the other. Just like the idea of having 2 modded cars on the drive
Oh and she wanted this car. She drove it home and first thing she said was she wanted it. Its a little bit more powerfull than the diesel, but the diesel is obviously more economical for her to run daily
-
I see, well maybe diesel for daily then, gives you a chance to start again and get the colour you want too then i suppose :afro:
I have an indigo blue job, so anything you dont need *cough* boot & bumper *cough*
There a air kit for mk4 in classifieds at the min.

Nice work so far.. I was about to ask the same thing... So bent MOT then. :lipsrsealed:

Would love to be able to afford air right now but just cant  this is going to be a slow build i feel, though ive done more to it already in just a few weeks than i did to the diesel in that time.
Partly i suppose because i know more what im doing with mk4's

In reality probably not. Im actually going for the US look so it will have side markers which on this car will be wired as indicators. If and when i swap the bumpers between the 2 cars they will be wired as side markers on the diesel as that one is keeping the orange side repeaters
-
Ah so in effect you'll have relocated side repeaters... I feel I've had this conversation before recently on a mk4! :undecided:
-
Yeah i think you have on my other build thread, was just reading that one.
Yes they will be relocated on this car, just means i will have to put a second set in the r32 bumper ive got as well

Told you i didnt need you to finish it off though.
This is why
Will look a lot worse though before it looks any better mate

Got the other side on its way too.
Not a lot been happening on the car recently as ive been to a couple of local shows.
Spent a bit more time though getting a decent shape back to the front wings though im now thinking of getting another couple and starting again.

And last weekend got some paint on my grille as well.
Also welded up the roof aerial hole just need to filler that, and flatted my standard rear lights and put a coat of tint spray on one to find its really crap tint spray and not translucent like on my others [brick] need to get some more.
And today a little delivery arrived for me, will get some pics up tomorrow if the weather is ok.
Heres what arrived yesterday [funky]

Little update:
Dropped my LR wheels off at my mates place Passion Restoration Products in Wrexham to be powder coated  Hes got a nice unit on the industrial estate where he does powder coating, flocking, and electro plating.
Also weather holding off on Friday im finally getting the A6 handles welded into my doors and the TT filler cap done. With those bits done i can then get on with the rest of the bodywork and i wont be waiting on other people to do stuff for me.
Fingers crossed it will be a good week.
-
Nice updates... like them wheels too. what you driving about in while you're doing all this then?
-
This is the daily mate

-
Land Rover wheels will be a nice touch
-
I like it, u seem to have donea fair bit already

And a load more today, update coming up
-
Well VERY productive day today, the weather turned out to be brilliant and managed to get a lot done.
My mate didnt turn up until 10.30 and i was worried that we wouldnt get all we had to do done. Dont know why i was worried really.
Yesterday i went around stripping the doors of all the interior bits and exterior handles and ground up around where the new handle should be going and also ground up around the fuel cap ready to start straight away.
So we marked up where we thought the handle should be located by looking at pictures ive saved of other cars with these fitted. Not an exact science but it seemed to work. Then we started cutting into the doors.
No going back now!!
Definately no going back
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSCF0137.jpg)
So after a little bit of trial and error on the first one checking and checking loads more that it sat level and didnt foul anything and more importantly that it could be operated with the windows down (heard some horror stories on Vortex) we then welded the first one in
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSCF0138.jpg)
Phew!!!! Looking good though, and after this the other side slotted into place a lot quicker just following the same procedure and exact measurements
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSCF0140.jpg)
Then whilst i was trimming up the panel containing the TT filler cap, my mate Al quickly welded in my bonnet notch piece that i had made up.
Then i set about cutting a whopping hole in the rear quarter, this is where things could have gone horribly wrong.
Double checking it sat straight
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSCF0143.jpg)
And then finally fitted into place
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSCF0144.jpg)
Will get some better pics of this finished over the weekend. I am chuffed with the progress we made today the handles make all the difference, i just need to make up the bar that will connect to the latch to actually open the doors.
Bit of grinding up and fillering to be done but its now heading in the right direction.
-
wow and i was worried bout doin a bit of rust lol, thats enough to keep you busy, good effort mate
-
Them door handle look loke they will look sweet when all painted up
-
Hope so  though that will be a while off yet
-
That's going to look sweet
-
Bloody marvelous
-
Great work, looking forward to seeing this finished :afro:
-
Got Skillz!
This will look really clean when it's finished!
-
:embarassed: Thanks guys appreciate the nice comments
-
Managed to get another half hour or so on this today.
I took the wheels off earlier to put on the diesel (didnt turn out too well) and put this on axle stands.
After tea i went out and finished getting the drivers wing off.
Found a load of mud behind the arch liner, was worse than when i removed the ones off the diesel
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSCF0104.jpg)
I then set about prepping the door motors to be able to work with the Audi handles.
Then i mocked up the bar im going to have to make to connect the handle to the motor. Seems easy enough.
Heres the car looking pretty sorry for itself now
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSCF0110.jpg)
Going to try to snatch bits of time here and there during the week and get the handles fully working.
-
looking good mate love the colour
-
looking good mate love the colour
Cant wait to see it in colour myself. Its the bit im most excited about on this whole build
-
Bloody hell, good luck :afro:
Looks a bit of a daunting task looking at how it is at the min
-

Tell me about it.
It will be all good though in the end
-
As i hate rubbing down bodyfiller i do it a little at a time, then add some more where required and leave that a few days and then go back to it. Its a long process haha.
Managed to get the filler cap somewhere close to being finished
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSCF00972.jpg)
Also finished the roof where the aerial has been deleted
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSCF00992.jpg)
Little bit more added into the drivers door
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSCF00952.jpg)
Also i cut this out ready
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSCF01082.jpg)
Made these up for the handle pulls using soldering wire as a template
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSCF01132.jpg)
And then started to take the front panel off as i have to pull the engine at some point to paint the bay, and im now also considering smoothing the bay and relocating stuff.
Oh heres a quick pic of the horrendous rear light tint i bought that has to be removed and the proper stuff then bought
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSCF0116.jpg)

Today after a bit of pushing by me my mate finally finished up my bootlid, he had been teasing pics over the last couple of days. So i went over this afternoon to pick it up.

And i started to strip the air components off the board they were no ready for when i start on my own boot build (have an idea how it may look)
-
loving the boot lid handle!!! good progress!!!
one question, your not leaving the filler work out in the rain??
-
I am but its all been primered over, which isnt ideal either  need to sort a cover for the car really
-
better then nothing, was gunna say would be a shame to ruin all that work by gettin problems with the filler later on in life coz of absorbing water, should be alryt primed tho
-

Wrong...... Primer offers hardly any protection against water. If the cars not covered get some red oxide on it.. Cover would be ideal though.
nice progress BTW.
-
Yup it's porous, event a waft over with some top coat to seal it would be advisable. You'll be flatting it back for the proper finish anyway. I keep a big can of satin black handy just for this kind of stuff.
-
i stand corrected, il keep it in mind tho :afro:

It actually absorbs it I think

what about smoothing high build primer wth wet wetndry paper???
-
Id heard before that primer is porous  i will. Have to sort something and very soon

Just make sure its dry and wack some top coat on, the satin black idea is a good one. :afro:

Yep, think a trip to the local paint suppliers is in order for tomorrow morning, then get out the heat gun on the panels before spraying the black on

Little update. Pics to be added soon
As the weather has worsened the bodywork has stopped now so ive just been scouring the sale ads on the forums and ebay seeing what bits take my fancy.
Ebay came up trumps last week with a genuine US R32 front bumper complete with side markers and the proper looms. Quick email to the guy selling and a deal was done. Went over to near Chester one night last week to pick it up.
The next night i managed to meet up with my mate whos mega busy at the minute. He had finished powder coating my Land Rover wheels. He sent me a teaser pic over a few days earlier and i wasnt too sure on the colour. When i met up with him all my worries were put to rest as they look really good. Hes done a top job even though hes had a nightmare with the casting on 2 of the wheels.
Then i also saw an ad for a lad breaking a 1.8T in Chester (had been messaging loads of people advertsing theirs to find out the cars were wrong for what i needed). Struck a deal for the car loom, engine loom, ecu, clocks, keys, scuttle panel, and slam panel off his car. Went to have a check today that it was right for me and bingo!!! Perfect for what i need so im made up.
Get christmas out of the way and more progress should start happening now...... Finally!!
-
Cant wait to see pics
-
Ok so heres the pics.....
Firstly the bumper i bought. These are the pics off the ad. I havent had chance to do anything other than put it in the garage for now.
Little bit of damage on the bottom towards the passenger side, but easily fixed
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/4_f.jpg)
Now the bit ive been waiting for, for ages.
My mate sent me this teaser pic off his phone last week and i wasnt 100% sure on the colour. It looked a little like the hyper silver you can get wheels in which to me looks too much like its trying to be chrome.
Went to his house to pick them up off him and get my first proper look at them. Well i was wrong and tit must have just been the light in the picture because they looked ok in the metal.

And with the centre cap placed on top

Today was another good day for me.
Had been emailing/texting back and forth with andyj775 whose breaking his 1.8T, he lives pretty close to me and as ive been after an immo 2 loom and ecu for ages i messaged him about his, after messaging loads of people to find out they werent right for me.
Anyhow on Saturday i drove over and had a look and yes it was immo 2 so a deal was struck for me to take the entire car loom, engine loom, ecu, clocks, and keys from his car along with the scuttle and slam panels which i also needed.
Had arranged to go over tomorrow to help with getting the loom out, but today was at a loose end so as i knew he was going to be down there stripping the car i drove over and in about 4 hours we gutted the interior fully and manged to get the full loom out intact. I also ended up walking away with the floor carpets and sound deadening which is in better condition than my own.
Im well happy with what i paid, and i hope Andy is happy with what he got for the bits?? top guy!!
Now i just need a bit of better weather now to actually press on with this project as there is absolutely no spare room in my garage now to even consider doing anything in there
-
Cant wait to see those wheels on
-
Finally a bit of an update.....
Picked these up today

The bolts that have been pressed into them arent big enough and the land rover wheels nuts can just push onto these bolts. Going to have to get this sorted obviously, but i placed the wheels onto the adaptors and think i have pretty much got the fitment im looking for.
Although while im getting the bolts swapped out for the right sized ones i MAY get 2mm machined off these (havent tried the fronts yet so not sure about the fitment there yet).
Anyway heres the side views

From those angles the fitment looks to be the same as the mercedes wheels at the rear, but think the angles of the pictures may be misleading, just not sure

Just read through the project and looks a like it's gonna be a stunner when done Mate
Keep up the good work :afro:
-
top work

Going to look pretty smart with the landy wheels on.... was going to say I thought those threads on the adapters look a little a short. Easily changed?
-
The threads arent short, as the design of the land rover wheel nuts mean they sit into the wheel quite a bit anyway, the studs were M14 thread where the wheel nuts i got with the wheels were M16 thread.
Turns out the wheel nuts were wrong and i picked some replacements up today for a steal, so all is good again and i can look at properly getting the wheels mounted soon

Ok so all my updates just seem to be stocking up on parts and not actually getting any real work done on the car :( this is gonna have to stop. I was hoping to get some work done this week while ive got the week off but the weather isnt looking too good and ive also got a 3 year old to look after. Hes a little young yet to be any good with the spanners though he does try
So more spending trying to get all the bits i need in place for this. When i started i made myself a bit long list of what my ultimate goal was including what parts were needed and how much/where from. This seems a little anal but its pretty much worked and helped me to plan my purchases quite well. Although things pop up for sale from time to time that just need snapping up as i see them.
Been toying with the idea of just buying the paint for this car sooner than later so last weekend on my way home from working overtime i nipped into the paint suppliers i use and got a price for everything i needed. Turns out i had planned just enough money for it all (well i was 91 pence short) but the guy let me off for that
Came away with this little lot
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSC_6592.jpg)
Only thing missing from there is the 5 litres of filler primer
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSC_6595.jpg)
Porsche Macadamia
Same weekend whilst i was working in Newcastle i made a little detour to a lads house that was breaking his bora, and picked up the rear bumper off it. This weekend stripped it of the bits i didnt need and ended up with these bits.
Im sure we can all guess where thats going?
A while ago i also bought these
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSC_6588.jpg)
One of those impulse buys due to being in the right place at the right time. Full FIS Immo 3 Bora Sports. Hoping to change them ever so slightly. So that puts me up two owning to sets of these now. Greedy i know
Also ive been messaging back and to with The Brit off Edition about some bits i wanted. Back end of last week he messaged me to tell me he had a container due in in the next few days and was sending over some pics for me.
Luckily he was visiting his Grandparents up in Scotland this bank holiday weekend so made arrangements to meet up with him just off the M6 near me and came away with these items.
Very happy with both, just need to source the other bits i need his help with now. Top guy and would recommend him to anyone needing US bits for their cars.
As i previously mentioned not having done anything on the car since at least last October/November it was starting to make me worry i had lost a bit of enthusiasm for the build. So i decided to get "something" at least started and decided to spend a little time in the garage over the weekend rubbing my tank down ready for some paint.
Just need to strip out all the fittings and finish off rubbing it down and getting it in primer.
Thats it for now though im hoping to have another update later this week. Im praying the weather holds out.

Ive finally pulled my finger out and did a little bit of work on the 1.8T. Had a week off this last week so on the days Daniel was in school i jumped at the chance to get some work done.
Ive just been collecting more and more parts of late and that really hasnt changed (picked up a headlining from All Types for the sunroof mod, hopefully getting a US front bumper in just over a week, and got some polished bits coming as well).
Anyway finally got the cover off the car last week and decided to do some more work on getting the drivers side smoother and complete.
Finally happy with the shape around the filler cap
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSC_6985.jpg)
And did some more work on the drivers door. Its getting there, there was just a high spot near where the side trim goes (still undecided wether to get rid of the side trims and totally smooth it)
Ive also been busy stripping the engine bay down for what will be one of the biggest tasks on this build, the smoothed bay
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSC_6989.jpg)
Passenger door may have to come off to sort that out as its a little close to the wall
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSC_6993.jpg)
Also now that ive sorted the earlier issues with the adaptors/wheel nuts i dug out an alloy and tried it properly for fitment (couldnt get the car on the ground but jacked up the back axle to have the full weight on the springs, so basically ride height). Happy with the fitment
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSC_6982.jpg)
Ive also painted my air tank up and will get some pics up soon.
Now though the weather seems to have took a nose dive again. Was hoping to do some more over this bank holiday weekend. We will see.

Been quiet of late.
Got a delivery though from Mexico last month
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSC_8005.jpg)
Genuine brand new US centre console, been after one of these for ages.
Also made a start on drilling the spot welds on my replacement roof panel ready to do the swap.
It was a daunting task knowing i had to do the same thing but on my car. Massive potential to royally mess it all up.
Was doing my usual and searching the sale ads though and saw someone that had broken a 3 door golf and was offering up the shell for sale. A lot of sorting out about how i could get a rolling shell back home as cheaply as possible then a deal was struck.
Yesterday was the day me and my mate Steve went on a bit of a trip to Derby to pick it up.
All strapped up ready for the trip home
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSC_8009.jpg)
And back home, pics taken today.
And the all important bit
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSC_8014.jpg)
Little bit of a fish pond
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSC_8017.jpg)
Need to make it water tight by swapping my doors and a boot lid onto it then i will vac it all dry.
Now the bad bits...
Front of the drivers side sill is damaged slightly
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSC_8027.jpg)
Top of the drivers side B pillar
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSC_8025.jpg)
And for some reason (and it wasnt specified on the sale advert) all the mounting points for the rear seats have been removed. Every single one!!!
Bit of a pain but a lot easier than doing a roof swap. I will just put the ones in off the other shell.
Got my sunroof in it today in preparation for it being water tight
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/DSC_8020.jpg)
And thats all for now. Priority is to get this one water tight, then get on with fully stripping the other shell so i can get rid of it before Nicky goes mental having 2 on the drive.
-
Well had a good half day working on the cars today and used it well. The blue shell is now pretty much stripped interior wise. All i need to do on that one now is pull the engine and box, remove exhaust (although I'm sure i will be getting a full stainless), Remove the gear lever etc from underneath, Remove fuel tank, Remove the rear axle and front subframe, then remove the heater matrix once the engine is out and pull the loom into the car.
Lol sounds quite a lot now ive wrote it down.
I also fitted a bootlid to the new shell today, doors were fitted earlier in the week so at least that one is now water tight. Tomorrow im going to get my wet vac out and fully vac the interior and get it all dry.
I also finished removing all the junk that was still connected to the bulkhead (brake lines etc) and got the bolts for the heater matrix on this one so that has all been removed. Just need to get the brake servo off now so the bay is fully clear ready for some smoothing. Anyone know what holds the plunger for the brake servo to the brake pedal as thats all that holding the servo in now.

God not updated this in aaaages.....
Not massive amounts have happened over the winter so far, just been too bloody cold to be sat out on the driveway.
I did manage to get the blue shell fully stripped and taken away though much to my wifes delight. Before it went though i used that shell to work certain things out on like finding out about cutting out the rain tray fully.
Tried the scuttle to see how it would sit without the rain tray to support it.
Think i can get that to work.
Final bits off the shell.
The garage is like a Mk4 golf parts stash.
I cut off the rear seat mounting brackets i needed to put onto the new shell.
Then it was all ready for collection.

And gone
(http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/cheshiresport/Golf%20Turbo/Photo4_zps31fd59ce.jpeg)
Thanks to my good friend Steve we managed to push the new one off next doors drive and back onto my drive in the dark while it was snowing. Not an easy task!!!!
The next day i got it up on axle stands so i could return borrowed wheels to righful owners (thanks Simon [;)])
In the mean time i did some work i could do indoors (although it didnt go down too well). Helped by my 4 year old.

Not sure im keen on the cream against the Macadamia.
So between me and Simon we threw some ideas about and think we have come up with a good colour combo.
Also got my location for getting the wiring loom into the chassis rail for when i finally extend these wires.
Going forward ive decided i need to plug all the bits and pieces back in, in the engine bay as im using a 99 engine and bits, and then using a 2000 car loom (immo2), some of the plugs are different between the 2 so it will require some mix and matching. This wire tuck is going to be a major ball ache.
As soon as i get a day where it isnt either raining or snowing i need to get stuff out of the garage and find all the sensors etc to plug back in and progress from there.
