was just casually thinking to myself "i'll just put £50.00 worth in tonight, that will keep me going for a few days".....
50 QUID!!!! for a few days???? wtf? i remember when i used to be able to fill my mums car for £30 odd and it used to last for ages! i think we're so used to paying ridiculous prices for fuel that we don't even care anymore?
i know its another petrol rant and nothing will ever be done about it but jesus? ........ no wonder every bugger is skint!

And no matter how many mints I eat I just cannot get rid of the taste of unleaded
Only joking it wasn't me
Its not funny I think all the fuel door things where damaged so.........

For those saying buy a deisel, I've worked it out, with the increase in deisel cars, if I was to sell mine and buy a tdi, I would have to drive 30k miles before ide of even made my money back, that's not taking into account it costs more for me to insure a deisel so ide loose money on that too, the only thing you can do is grit your teeth and hope the useless government come in and help us out. Every ones in the same boat.

Diesel is 2p more than petrol here :) did you also account for the tax being almost half the price?
600mes to a full tank. Don't mind if i do.
-
Swings and roundabouts, petrol/diesel it's all well over priced.
They can charge £5 a ltr if they wanted so long as my wages went up inline with that I wouldn't care. It's the realative cost that gets me. A larger and larger proportion of my earnings is going on fuel, leaving less and less for frivolous stuff like food, rent and electricity.

My average is around 35 too, most of my driving is too/from work on the A34/A4074  I might as well just get a petrol car that I can enjoy

Dunno what I get tbh. Can push 40 (worked out) in the 1.6 if I drive slow as hell everywhere and 62MPH on the motorway.
I reckon I will get more out of a 2l with all the motorway miles I do.
-
i had over 45 on mine on a trip to scotland and back... 2.0T

-
Shhhh don't tell the missus :lipsrsealed:
" No hunny MPGz is MPGz and petrol is cheaper "
-
around 150 miles to a full tank which is mainly around town as £5 gets me 25 miles
although £30 is a full tank for me, got to sheffield and back then drove around town for a while, around 220 miles on £30
-
£65, 574 miles. Diesel FTW. And I only have to use it for SDP - no commuting!
The old 8v would do 400 miles on the same amount of fuel if I was lucky. So that's an extra 150-odd miles roughly per tankful (if we're being pessimistic), which is a half decent increase on the mileage. 150 miles extra is over 35% more mileage from the car. I like diesel. :smug:
-
I only get about 20ish to the gallen.. Thankfully petrol is 109.9p and i walk to work!
-
32 mpg coming home from work today.
Winner
-
250-280ish miles to £115 in the datsun :lipsrsealed:
-
only getting 100 miles to £25 in the 1.8t anni. Totally sucks.
