Hi guys,
What MPG do you lot get from your MK6 GTis and Golf Rs?
MPG 2 on your fuel computer would be fine or do any others of you out there keep more detailed records?
Also type of drive and driving style would be useful.
Thanks in advance

30.1 mpg... i drive like a little angel

R info
I'm afraid I keep a full and accurate record and fill up brim to brim every time with 99RON stuff 8-)
Here's my full record, a 5dr DSG with Cruise Control, a fair bit of city centre commuting the whole period :-
As it happens it's nearly bang on a year since I got my R :)
Incidentally, the MFD display has been pretty accurate over the long term too

Depending on how I drive my MPG 1 (used to record mpg per tank) can vary from 28 mpg to 42 mpg.
My MPG 2 (used to average over a period of months) sits quite steadily at 34 mpg.
Never calculated in real life so can't comment on how accurate the display is.
HTH.

Mine is sitting at 34.6mpg over the last 2300 miles.

That JohnnyG has got to be an accountant to be that
boring anal about keeping MPG records ffs, you don't buy an R for thirty odd grand and worry about fuel mileage surely. :nerd:
Doc, motorway driving gives me about 32-35 mpg depending on the number of hills (and I don't drive super fast, and tend to look further ahead than the end of my bonnet)
Town driving gives me mid twenties and A road driving gives me mid to high thirties.
Wanna swap cars? (I'm keeping the wheels!)

I'm not worried about mpg ... it's more for business purposes
BTW the MFD display (MPG2) seems to be pretty accurate and only slightly higher than above.

On average a full tank is how many miles for you guys?

Okay I'll almost forgive you then being as it's your poor customers who are obviously paying for your car and fuel!!! Fair play to that....

Mine's more or less the same as this though I did get 38.6 during a holiday earlier in the year.
-
Hats off to JonnyG
-
Mines is reading 27 mpg just now - this is my first full tank of fuel so we will see where that gets me.
In my Scirocco with the same 2.0 TFSI engine (Older 197bhp version though), I used to get between 260 and 280 miles to a full tank.

Well, make of this what you will, but when it came to ordering my new MINI, I was originally planning on getting a diesel. A Mini isn't a straight line car so outright horsepower doesn't really matter - it's all about the bendy bits. I figured the fun would only be increased if I wasn't drinking any fuel at the same time (the diesel can get up to 80mpg allegedly).
So with that in mind off I went to the showroom...
...ordered a JCW petrol. That went well
-
35.5mpg a mixture of town and swifter out of town driving (14000 miles)
-
Checked mine today and average is 28.9 over 2,350mile
That"ll do me

Just checked my average over the past year = 20.7 mpg. Charming!

Well if you really try, this can be achieved in an R, but it's not much fun  :smug:
Average over a 20 odd mile trip

Good figure.
I find that 58mph is a good cruising speed for both economy and comfort, 70's too fast for the mpg but at 50-57 you get hgv's overtaking you etc
-
My MPG average driving to work each day is around 35 - 38 mpg. Mostly motorway!
p.s. I would love an R but I cringe everytime I fill the car up at the moment so I guess an R is not really for me!

I cringe when I fill mine up, it stinks of diesel
