My boot is leaking  shouldnt there be a rubber around the boot lid, as the gap seems big.

Hi fella,
there should be a seal around the opening.
A typical issue is water ingress through the rear lights. The seals on these often go and is a common problem.
Check for any rips or tears in the hood area around the tonneau cover side trims.
Often there is a split here on older hoods.
Also check the tailgate lock seal is not split or missing.
Hope that helps a bit.

You should have a seal around the inside.

yeah you won't see it with the boot shut, you'll see it around the opening of the actual boot with the lid open if it's there.

Wow, check you out with your cabby with added sunroof!... I would say it must be a rare mod but it probably isn't.

on mine there were 2 sources of leaks, 1 was the seals round the rear lights and the other was the rubber seal around the rear window. the rear rubber needs a good squirt of sealant all the way round it otherwise it will never seal right, if the roof has been done recent and no sealant was put in then thats why. you need to use a special type of sealant that doesn't go off as such, rather than boggo silicone stuff
-
What type of sealant should I use? cheers
